Also volunteering improves mental health is because your get to meet others and make new friends while volunteering.

Volunteering is one way to make new friends, meet new people, and get involved with the community to make an impact together. According to Help Guide, “volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help” (Volunteering and its Surprising Benefits). Special Olympics is a great example of this.

Special Olympics is a great way to be able to touch someone with special needs and while touching them you will unknowingly be touching yourself. Volunteers that help at special Olympics also get to meet new people with the same interest as themselves. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the communities and to create new relationships while doing something fun and enjoyable.

A special Olympics you will be able to touch little kids hearts and make them have the time of there life’s. Meeting others in this way could even mean that these volunteers and their new friends live close by in the same community, so they would most likely see each other often or at least at most community events. Volunteering is a great way for new community members to meet others in the same area. Meeting others in this way can help to make new friends that have the same or similar interests. It can also lead to finding new interests when trying new activities to volunteer for.

These new friends will most likely have some of the same interests, but they would also have some different interests. People are more likely to try something new that they have no interest in if they have a friend interested in that activity. When you volunteer you get to try new expedites and see new people, it might end up being life changing. So, while helping others, volunteers can also be learning new skills or mastering old skills.

Most of the time volunteers work on project that they have at least some interest in. bye working on projects like that one might learn a new skill that they can use in the future. According to Nonprofit Hub, “Volunteering gives you the opportunity to explore new skills and interests that you might not get to enjoy otherwise” (8 Long-Term Health Benefits of Volunteering). Volunteering sometimes means you will be around small children. Sometimes people don’t know how interest with children they are till they do stuff like this. This would be a great experience for someone that in the future might have kids because it could help them in the future. Volunteering forces people to try thing that they would never do normally.

When trying these new activities, they are learning helpful skills that could benefit them both now and in the future. Also, volunteering could help get a job in fact certain jobs require prior experience that can be earned by volunteering in many different ways and this would most likely be an enjoyable task to the volunteer. When you volunteer it helps majorly with communication because you use communicating skills while doing most volunteer work. Volunteering plays a huge role in the community because it brings the whole community together making the whole community family.

When one volunteers it of course help the one you are volunteering for, but it also helps the person volunteering a lot more than they think. It not only can change the person they are helping life it will also change their life. Helpful effects of volunteering like better overall health, happiness, and learning new skills are all valuable things to have in life. All of these benefits and effects can help out both now and, in the future. Volunteering can be found very fun and enjoyable by most people because they usually choose activities that they have interests in and get to meet others that have some of the same or similar interests.
