Weather and Mathematics have a great effect on each other. Math is used in weather predictions and math is also used in meteorology, and weather forecast. For weather forecast scientist use supercomputers to predict the weather by using mathematical equations that model the atmosphere and oceans.

For the meteorology aspect meteorologist’s job’s is to study the atmosphere and to examine and see to then attempt to predict its weather and effects of the other atmospheric guesses on the earth by using certain instruments to measure speed wind and direction pressure humidity and temperature.

The longer the time predicted, the less accurate your prediction will be. An example of weather prediction in meteorologist is like the weather you see on the news for the week or on your phone.

Mathematical equations allows us to combine, average, and solve information. Using equations, estimating, geometry, graphs, charts, and scales we can find to answer to weather concerns. Basically, weather and math go hand in hand.

Weather also uses numerical modeling. Numerical modeling is the process of obtaining an objective forecast of the future state of the atmosphere by solving the set of equations that describe the evolution of variables. Just like temperature, windspeed humidity, pressure and all of that basically describe the atmosphere. Numerical modeling is done through a computer. the equations of numerical modeling are extremely difficult. Numerical modeling starts with analyzing the current state of the atmosphere. Conditions are found under the numerical models of the atmosphere which are all based in the same set of governing equations.

Math is also classified with geometry. An example would be depending on how high a cloud is, classifies it as a certain kind of cloud. Altitude in weather is the height of a thing above a reference level, especially above sea level or above the earth’s surface. Mathematics, the perpendicular distance from the base of a geometric figure to the opposite vertex, parallel side, or parallel surface.

Estimating is one of the most important techniques for making a forecast is to use weather maps to estimate. You may estimate the speed of movement of air masses, fronts, and high- and low-pressure system. meteorologist had to adjust the forecast for differences in latitude.

Charts and graphs are in math. Maps are used to locate a place in which the meteorologist is going to forecast the weather. They also show highs and lows, pressures, intensities, and humidity. Graphing is used here. Some maps use in meteorology would have geographical map, temperature map, pressure map, humidity map, precipitation map, and high and low temperature map.

Hydrometer is used in math. A hydrometer is an instrument that has various ways to construct and used for measuring the velocity or discharge of water like in rivers. Hydrometer is used in measuring water. The scientist deal with how much water air can hold at any given time temperature and pressure. It’s the probability of clouds, fog, and rain. No absolute humidity just relative.
