In my opinion, human rights are all about the rights of every human being in this world. Every person who are breathing deserve their rights or simply we can say as their freedom whether freedom of speech, freedom of education or many more. In addition, human rights are the fundamental rights and freedoms of every person in the world, from birth to death. They apply to everybody regardless where you come from what you believe in, or how you want to live your life. They can never be taken away, although they can sometimes be restricted such as, if a person breaks the law or is in the interests of national security.

To me, human rights are relevant to us not only when we were mistreating because you have rights to express your opinion, to have a privacy and also a right to seek knowledge because rights to education were everybody not only apply only to one gender or upper class.

There have been several conventions that state the importance of human rights such as UDHR and how it applies to our everyday lives. Even every day, we still forget that we enjoyed our rights without realizing that one of us or many of us were living marginalized and mistreated like they shouldn’t be. Human rights violations are taking place every day. As for the right to live your life free from discrimination, for example. Racism is one of the manifestations of discrimination and prejudice, these problems have never found a solution because certain people cannot accept that everyone is equal and same.

The colour of someone’s skin, the ethnicity of someone didn’t bring anything and prejudice generated will cause hate and bigotry that would only hurt anyone else. Even in some cases in the United States where racism is worse and someone’s right to life is violated because it involves killing a person. Didn’t the person also have to live their life freely?

In addition, you have the right to freely associate with whatever you like and to join groups that you would like to be part of. You have the right to choose who you want to be a friend with, you want to talk to, you don’t have to be someone you don’t like his or her presence that makes you uncomfortable because that was your right and everyone has the same freedom.

Next, bullying of all kinds in schools. This was also one of the things that often happen no matter you are in schools, university or even at workplace. In Human Right Acts Article 3 states that ‘No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment’. Based on the articles no one should be treated aggressively or even felt insecure just because some parties love to take advantage on them.

In fact, Article 8 of the Human Rights Act says that protects our privacy, our family life, our home and our communications. You have the right to live your life without any interference from others. As an examples, the person should not be treated differently just because she or he dressed differently, have different life styles because privacy means our right to determine our lifestyle and the way we look and dress. It also includes your right to control who sees and touches our body.
