In my opinion, God does exist. I think this for many reasons. One of these reasons is that lots of people believe in God; it would be silly to think that they are all wrong. Another reason is everything must have had a cause, so someone, or something must have caused the universe to exist. I also think that the Bible helps to prove God’s existence, as it is supposed to be very accurate. In this essay I will try to show that God exists.

Millions of people all around the world believe in God’s existence. There are around 2.1 billion Christians worldwide. It is likely that most of these people believe in God. 88% of the world’s population are supposed to believe in a God, a supreme being, a creator. There are also many other religions that teach people to believe in God, like Islam. How could all of these people all be wrong? These statistics clearly show that God exists, because they are so big. If God did not exist, all of these people would not believe in God.

Some people may argue that all of these people are being forced to think what they think. In a society where everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is completely wrong. Nowadays, people have the right to believe what they want to. Other people may say that people who believe in God are just being sheep, just following what they are taught, and not trying to prove this right or wrong. This is not true, as there are lots of people who have managed to prove to the world – and to themselves – that God does exist. In conclusion, lots of people believe in God; this goes in favour of God’s existence.

I think that the problem of evil and suffering show that God exists. This is because ideally God is benevolent. This means that he is all loving. Some people may say that if God was all loving, he would not allow people to suffer. However, if people could not suffer, they would not enjoy anything. For example, if someone ate ice cream all of the time, for all of their life, they would be so used to it that they would not enjoy eating it any more. This same applies to other things, like pain. If someone had a life without pain, they would not enjoy their easy existence. Another way that people show that God does not intend for us to have as much suffering is by showing that most suffering is caused by man. For example, war and conflict is not caused by God. This is why the fact that we have pain and suffering proves that God is benevolent. He wants us to enjoy good things, and have more interesting lives.

It is believed by some people that God created the universe and everything in it, as he is omnipotent. This means that he is all powerful, and can do anything. He is also meant to be omniscient, which means that he is all knowing, and knows everything that happens. This causes a massive problem to people who do believe in God. This is partly because science has proved that humans and other creatures evolved to become what they are.

Evolution shows that God is not omnipotent, or not omniscient. If he was omnipotent, he would have been able to make everything perfect from the start. If he was omniscient, he would have known what would go wrong with his creations, so would have made them perfect at the start. However, he did not do that. Christians may say that evolution was God’s way of improving what was going wrong.

Another problem with the theory of God creating the universe is that, if God created the universe, who created God? Some people would say that God is the only uncaused cause. However, if there was one uncaused cause, who is to say that there could not be more? This is an important reason for why people do not believe in God.

Some people think that God does not exist because he does not answer their prayers. This is not very well thought out because it would not be possible for everyone’s prayers to be answered. For example, if a farmer prayed for it to rain so that his crops would grow better, and his neighbour prayed for it to be very hot and sunny so that she could do some gardening, things would not work out. One person wants the opposite of what the other person wants, and there is a problem. This why God cannot answer everyone’s prayers. Also, if everyone always got what they wanted, they would never have to work towards something, and would never get the satisfaction of something being really theirs. This is why God cannot answer everyone’s prayers.

The Bible is good evidence that God exists. The Bible starts with how God created the world. The Bible is believed to be very true. It is one of the most owned books in the world, which shows how much people like it. It is even useful for people who are not Christians, as they like the concepts that it teaches. It was written by people who believed in God to teach people what God is, and why they should believe in him.

People believe in God because it gives them an aim in life, if they believe that there is heaven after death, they will enjoy their life and not be anxious about what will happen to them after they die. The Bible teaches people to be good when they are alive so that they can go to heaven when they die. In conclusion, the Bible helps people to decide if they want to believe in God or not.

The most convincing of these arguments is probably the one about evil and suffering. This is because it is very relevant these days, especially with all of the wars that are going on in the world, like the civil war in the Middle East. These conflicts have helped people to make their opinion on God. I think that God is very likely to exist. However, it is very hard to prove if God exists or not, because was alive when the world was created. In fact, no one will ever be able to prove God’s existence, unless they find out how to travel back through time.
