I believe that I should be prefect as I would portray to be a virtuous asset to the school. It will be a delight to help the staff and pupils and it will be my way of giving something back. I am raring to go, ready to offer my service to the school with utmost pride and, in doing so, gain rewards that I will always treasure.
As well as this helping students’ progress through school is perhaps the most important feature of a prefect’s duty, which is why I would give my best shot to assist anyone that feels like they are troubled by academic or personal problem or if they need help in deciding their future, or simply are puzzled by their schoolwork I would give my utmost best at making sure understand them and their issues and do my best to resolve them as soon as possible. This position is a vital part of the school system and also acts as a helping hand to the school community. This role is a leading demonstration of the school’s abilities and I feel I am as ready as ever to take on such responsibilities. A prefect needs to have the qualities of someone who shows confidence when representing the school that I have come to love.
They also need a strong understanding of our uplifting school environment and a desire to contribute to its continuing success. I consider myself as having these attributes. Over the course of the three years that I have been at The Derby I have received major help in challenges that I have faced whether it was with my school work or social group issues which is why I would like to become a prefect as it would allow me to safeguard the younger pupils and guarantee that they don’t face the same problems and feel safe in the school environment.

I believe that I have the qualities required for a prefect as I am responsible, reliable and prepared to carry out various duties to the best of my ability. In addition, I am confident that I could set an upright example for other pupils around the school. I have previously helped out on parent evenings as well as open evenings gaining more confidence talking about and sharing knowledge and experiences to parents and carers whilst making sure I present the school in a positive manner. I also firmly believe that I would be able to liaise and collaborate with fellow prefects and ensure that we work as a team, to ensure efficiency and the smooth running of our own area of responsibility and of the school as a whole .
My academic and behavioural standards are always maintained and I promise that I will always work in the interest of the school. Being punctual for my duties Is always something that I would work towards and I would never fail to ensure that the SLT are content with the way that I fulfil my duties with all my heart. I would take pleasure in attending all school events and activities when required where possible, alongside helping and leading.
