Television is more like a necessity in not only today’s generation but from years. Everybody watches television, not matter what age group they belong to and by that I also mean children. Different age groups have different content to watch on television. There are crime series, family drama, action movies cartoons and different programs for everyone. When an adult is watching television, it could be anything, we need to be really careful around children because what we watch influences their behavior.
Watching aggressive/crime content will have a major effect on the child as they could hold on to what is going on the television. They might not do it intentionally, but what they watch effects their behavior patterns. It has a negative impact on the child. They might act violent, which is very wrong for the growth of the child as he must be watching something more happy and positive.
Watching war, action movies is very dangerous for children. Most children admire super heroes and action. Watching stunts that are performed by professionals and then imitating them is what they would do in reality. They end up risking their lives in the bargain. Most children even end up losing their lives.

The amount of time spent watching television may not be as influencing as much as what they watch. There are various educational programs, art learning shows, children’s games and entertainment shows and cartoons. There are also channels especially meant for children. For today’s working mothers and mothers without much physical help, television makes their lives so much easier. This keeps children interested and learn from it as well, while the mother can finish up her chores and housework and whatever they can, till it keep their child busy.
In conclusion, I would like to say that growing children are sharp and immediately pick up whatever the listen or watch. They do not know the difference between right and wrong. As television is the cheapest and easiest way of entertainment for almost everyone and as long as either of the parent are aware of what their child is watching, it will not harm their personalities and affect them in any negative form. In fact, education channels would help children grow and help them learn in a fun way, just the way they would like to.
