All of these traits are ones that my dad exemplifies, especially the thoughtfulness of others. When I needed a higher quality pair of skates he noticed and solved the problem. He is a kind-hearted man with confidence that he is meant to be there to help others. I myself is confident that this trait is a large part of his personality.
“A great man is always willing to be humble.” Humbleness is an important part of being a father or husband. My father is so humble that he will do anything to put my mom’s needs before his own. When he wants to go to a certain restaurant with my mom and there is nothing on the menu that she can eat they go somewhere that my mom likes. David Boye is known at Black Diamond mortgage and around town to put the needs of others before his own. He is always on the lookout for ways to make others feel more comfortable or safe.

When I am confused I know where to go. Not only is he good at math but brilliant with mapping out trips. He knows where the best restaurants are and most fun things to do. Such as when we were in Portland, Oregon we went electric scootering downtown. He made sure that I was safe when we crossed four-way intersections. My dad is also very good at knowing the best routes up untrailed mountains by looking at different angles of pictures of the mountain. “The greatest measure of a human being isn’t how he handles himself when things are going well, but how he handles himself when things are going badly, when defeat comes.”
David Boye is the type of guy any person could say handles himself very well when in both good and bad situations. He learns from his mistakes and gets better at what he didn’t do well before. This is something I wish to become in time. I look up to my dad because he does what he thinks is best not only for himself but for the other people. My definition of the measure of a human being is thoughtfulness, humbleness, and intelligence.
