How Fast Fashion Brands Treat Workers

In fashion factories workers work very hard but they get treated unfairly. In every working sector workers or employees are working hard to achieve the organizational goal, but in this case, workers are working harder to meet the needs and demands of the consumers (Fashion victims – the facts, 2018). In other sectors, the payment structure is much improved than this fast fashion sector (Fast Fashion Is A Disaster For Women And The Environment, 2018). Therefore, it can be said that that the workers are deprived from their rights and appropriate wage. In the fast fashion sector, the employees are working more than 140hours in every month (The fashion industry has a huge impact on our world today, 2018). Therefore, it is really unethical practice against one particular working group. If the pressure is high let the remuneration and reward drive them to perform the best (The environmental costs of fast fashion, 2018).

Nevertheless, the wage system is low; over that extreme working pressure is a sign of unethical practices. If any organization is practicing these types of practices for longer time, it can be considered as one of the major unethical issues, and for this the organization may lose their business and trade license as well. It has been identified that in this process the workers can be affected physically and mentally as well (The fashion industry has a huge impact on our world today, 2018). For excessive work pressure they can face court cases as well. therefore, it can be said that, sue to extreme pressure and excessive demands, the organizations are forcing the employees on to work harder and over their official time as well.

In this process the organizations are extracting increased profit margin and the employees are suffering from mental and physical issues. It is not at all supportive to the organizational sustainability. On order to ensure organizational sustainability, it is very important to manage the employee groups and their effectiveness. Therefore, it can be suggested to fast fashion organizations to pressurize their employee so much that they cannot retain their experienced employees to develop the organization.

Impact of Fast Fashion on Employment

People are into fashion brands even though it affects our environment. The materials are used in producing the fashionable clothes are affecting out environment, but people do not stop using them (Fashion victims – the facts, 2018). It is affecting the environment more than anything, as it pollutes the water as well. The chemicals used in producing the fashionable clothes are affecting the water and the water animals as well. Therefore, it can be said that it surely affects the environment in different ways. However, it also has been identified that while producing the clothes, many cloths are burned, those are already used and or not sold. These are burnt to collect the reusable materials and elements.

Therefore, burning these materials is polluting air and can be cause of choking and breathing issues as well. Water pollution is one of the principle issue has been identified in the first place. Different colours used in the production of the fast fashionable clothes are also affecting water, its ph balance and life of many other water lives (Fast Fashion Is A Disaster For Women And The Environment, 2018). They are affecting our health as well if we consume any of the sea fish or any other vegetable grown with that water.

From the point of view of many clothes are thrown to the garbage. However, many of them mixed with soil very fast, and those are made with mixed materials, polyester and mixed nylon materials are not mixing with soil for longer time. Therefore, in this process also it is affecting the environment as well. In order to produce cheaper quality materially, mix clothing materials are producing, therefore, not in one way but in different ways the fast fashion organisations and industry is affecting the environment.

How Fast Fashion Affects our Society

Our society need to be protected from fashion brands. It has been identified that it is not only affecting the employees, wages, and the environment but it is affecting our society as well (The environmental costs of fast fashion, 2018). For instance, the employees are provided with little wage and high intensity of working environment, are suffering from poor family background unless they would not working in this intense working environment as well. Therefore, it can be said that the fear of poverty is increasing for this industry. On the other hand, it also has been identified that due to the toxic chemicals, the death rate is also increasing as well.

Moreover, it also has been identified from report if the increasing use of colours and chemicals of the fast fashion industry will be continued to be the same, then these issues will be increasing as well (The environmental costs of fast fashion, 2018). Fast fashion is changing the trends every single month, so everyone is fallowing the same as well (The fashion industry has a huge impact on our world today, 2018). Therefore, spending so much money just on fashion is quite a big issue that is increasing in every sections of society. Starting from kids, youth and even the elderly people are also affected by the fast fashion and changing the cloths every now and then following the fashion trend. Therefore, it can be said that it is affecting the society and changing the consumer behaviour as well.
