During my English 1010 class, I learned to better support my ideas by integrating the sources as best as possible into my writing. However, my first draft on ‘Main Crystal’ was really the most difficult, I did not know how to organize my thoughts, between my language problems and bad punctuations. But this class was one of the important, it made me think different about my skills, I learned from this course to start writing early. All ungraded assignments along the way, made the prompt more clear and achievable The next task was a rough draft work and I decided to choose ‘Clean Sweep’. This choice was not easy because I did not know how to start my introduction. However, I knew enough and I wanted to do it well. But my project was a disaster and I felt uncomfortable in my work and even worried about it. Then I read what I wrote. I went back, I had a slightly different perspective.
This helped me to write down all my thoughts and sources that I had found and also to determine if my goal was worthwhile and in the right direction. After the revision of the work plan, the following projects were aimed at setting the recommendations. This process allowed me to continue working and not to leave it at the last minute. I also had to write about ‘Calvin and Hobbes’. Sit down to write this task took a lot longer. I could not sit down with an idea and compose freely. Gradually, I began with this task and realized that I was not reading the instructions or looking for a book that could help me organize my ideas or plan and for those two things I skipped, I was totally wrong. bad note, and it was my mistake, but now I know I have to be careful and read all the instructions before receiving an assignment.
However, conducting research throughout the writing process has helped me make decisions about the organization, my search for sources may help further explain my argument about the ‘Who are you as an author’ This essay I started with some good ideas that were meaningless, like my conclusions. I tended to give too much information without making sure that what I was providing directly supported my introduction. For example, I did not know that there was a lack of background information and that I needed to clarify what I really wanted to say. After reading my rough draft and comments from my classmates and instructor, I took a more informative and organized route. I was able to break down my argument and provide the appropriate background information so that the reader is always on the same page as me. My review process relies heavily on feedback from faculty and peers. My early versions generally include all my thoughts on paper, sometimes in the form of diagrams with minimal quotes. Revision plays a big role in the process for me.

From these reflective writings, I realized that the way we like or hate writing does not determine our skills. There is always room for improvement if we are bad at something. We sometimes received negative ratings, but we also received pass marks. What is important is that we continue to learn and improve. I believe that writing has always been one of my weakness, it was difficult to go through this step of essays, going beyond this form, has greatly opened my mind. My thoughts can now be more complex because I learned to maintain a logical argument in an organized way. My writing has become more and more concise. Plus, my writing is so much more interesting than it was before.
