Homelessness, a social issue that has tormented many of Americans citizens for a considerable time. It has been a financial and social concern that has influenced the lives of many individuals from different backgrounds, including kids, families, the mentally ill, veterans, and the elderly. Martin, (2018). States homelessness is said to be the state of not having a stable, or regular residence (207).
Which involves moving around between different types of lodging such as homeless shelters, destitute safe-housing, abandon buildings, buildings no longer fit for human habitation, vehicles, or on the street (p. 207). Martin, (2015). Expresses the fundamental reasons for homelessness as the increase in poverty in America and is the crucial factor that exists with an absence of reasonable lodging, human services, and psychological well-being. As humans, we are sometimes judgmental, looking upon others as if they were nothing merely thinking they are beneath you or think they are in this position due to their fault. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land. We must not limit ourselves to giving to our brother, and neighbors, but we must extend help to all those in need. Martin, (2018). States homelessness, especially among specific subpopulations, has or tendency to exceedingly criticized, which can cause an absence of sensitivity toward the destitute, especially those living on the street, therefore, being per as the cause of their very own issues of poor conditions (p.210).

Proverb 14:31 whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him. As Christians this is said to be a part of our reasonable service, therefore, giving as if we are offering and serving as we are giving unto the Lord.
