I am fortunate to get the opportunity to learn a lot about XXXX from two of my friends who have pursued their graduate education at XXXX and have had the opportunity to take courses offered by XXXX. After listening to them recount their personal experiences, and to their answers regarding questions I posed concerning the academic atmosphere, the student body, and the professors I came away thoroughly impressed and strongly felt that XXXX was the right place for me pursue my goal of obtaining an MBA education. Receiving information from people who have personally experienced XXXX and who have my best interests at heart was very valuable to me. In addition to talking to my friends, XXXX’s online resources also proved to be very informative with videos, blogs, and detailed descriptions of courses and curriculum options I have also scheduled a class visit in order to have a firsthand experience.
I love how the program at XXXX is structured: “Launch” is a great way to build contacts and to get a feel of things before classes start so that I can make informed decisions while choosing courses. The core courses would help me build a solid foundation of business knowledge which I can augment with my own choice of electivesi In addition to the all that, I see great value in the Career Development Program, which I feel would benefit me greatly as I am attempting to switch job roles. I plan to take advantage of the opponuniry to specialize in three different categories by focusing on Strategy, Product Management and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. My goal is to utilize my MBA education to develop broad business skills which are not limited to one particular industry, I also loved the “block” concept which provides opportunities to forge strong bonds with a large group of peers while engaging in both academic and extra-curricular activities. I am particular that my MBA education be a memorable life experience and not just a set of courses and I am delighted that XXXX provides a platform to achieve all-round satisfaction. An important part of my MBA education would be to participate and contribute to student clubs.
I am interested in taking part in initiatives like the XXXX Consulting Club, which can combine my professional and community contribution interests. I am also interested in contributing to my home country, India, through XXXX-facilitated initiatives like Social Entrepreneurship Incubation. I intend to explore the possibility of facilitating speaker events where a political or administrative official from India can be invited speak on socio-political and economic challenges and opportunities in India, In the past, I have organized knowledge trivia contests and found them to be useful tools for team building as well as for promoting general awareness about history, culture, politics, brands, business etc. I am positive that I can utilize this experience to augment activities in clubs involving fields such as technology or global business. By participating in and contributing to a wide variety of clubs, I hope to inculcate diverse skills and at the same time become a positive contributor to the XXXX community.
