The ever-increasing applications of data science and machine learning in technological development have intrigued me especially in the fields of Information Security, Health care, Internet Search, Website Recommendations, Speech/Voice/Video recognition, Fraud and Risk Detection, etc. This furthered my interest to opt for a Master’s in Data Science at your esteemed university which not only supplements the knowledge that I possess but also provides a strong platform for my future career aspirations and goals.
It was through my schooling, my ardent interest in science and modern technologies had begun. My active participation in many district and state-level competitive examinations had filled in me a special interest in science. Thus, I secured 8.6 CGPA in my 10th grade. Furthermore, my quantitative and analytical abilities impulsed me to opt-in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as my majors in pre-university education, where I secured 8.1 CGPA. Passing the entrance examination to engineering education, I have stood in the top 5% of the estimated 3.1 million other students in the state and joined SR Engineering College, which is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
My schooling and pre-university education developed an interest in me to opt for Computer Science and Engineering as my undergraduate major. I have had a good curriculum, including fundamentals and advanced coursework in computer science which included Operating Systems, Computer Organization & Architecture, Data Warehousing & Data Mining, Advanced Database Management Systems, Data Communications & Networking, Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, I have a strong foundation in programming languages like Java, C, C# which were part of my academics. As part of the curriculum while pursuing my undergraduate, along with a team of four did two projects namely, “Hospital Management System”, a web-based secure online portal that deals not only with storing information of all Employees, Patients, Doctors etc but also helps doctors and patients access, share digital content including sensitive medical records from anywhere. The other, “Online Voting System”, a web-based highly secure application where people can cast their vote by a click of a mouse from anywhere in the world.In addition to my academics, active participation in extracurricular activities such as being an Event Coordinator for a cultural event named “SPARKRILL” at SREC in January 2014, helped me to put forth my leadership qualities and the ability to manage and collaborate with others and ensure personal development.

I am an IBM DB2 Academic Certified Associate. My participation in a Security Education Awareness certification workshop organized by the Indian Government mainly Computer Society of India and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing further helped to strengthen my security skills and inspired me to attend, a Certified Software Testing Program at Mind Q Systems. It is one of the best software certification and training institutes in India with an experience of over 30 years, as part of which I have taken up a testing project called “Ranford EBanking”, which allows different users such as admin, bank employee, various customers to login and access the application for further usage and also it provides information about various services. All these certification programs taken during various stages helped me gauge my competency and became a driver of continuing education and training.During my career at I2S2 Pvt Ltd as a Software Engineer, I have undergone training in technologies such as ASP .NET, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap and SAP Crystal Reports. My 3 years of professional experience have helped me sharpen both technical and interpersonal skills. During my tenure in I2S2, I worked a major period for the client Telangana University and Kakatiya University, where I designed, developed and deployed Examination Branch Automation Management System. I volunteered to train the design team on how to code while educating them on the best design tools. For this consistent performance, I was awarded Best Employee of The Year 2017, an award which is given to employees to recognize their outstanding performances in terms of effort, initiative, innovation and team building. All these achievements reflect my commitment and interest towards higher education and serve as a testimony that I would like to contribute to the field of data science through the knowledge I obtained from this Master’s Program
.I can confidently say that the knowledge I gained from my under graduation and job experience would serve as a base for the graduate program. On careful study of your university prospectus and website, I have found that the Cryptography and Computer Security graduate program would equip me with intellectual depth and breadth of the concepts and in turn help me to solve real-world problems. I have always been fascinated by research, especially during my undergraduate where I just got a chance to observe my professors carrying out their research. Now if given a chance I would be thrilled to learn and work under the guidance of Professor Mark Stamp who is an ex-NSA cryptologist and one of the best professors you could hope to get. I have developed a keen desire to pursue my graduate studies and research at a University of excellence, which would provide me an opportunity to work with the most modern and sophisticated equipment and I found SJSU to be the one among such Universities.
Due to its superior location and its proximity to Palo Alto and Cupertino cities, the university can provide me a plethora of opportunities to meet and know renowned professionals during the course period. This could boost my self-confidence immensely and aspire me to accomplish my goals. I would be nothing else but happy if an opportunity is given to me to pursue a Masters in Computer Science at San Jose State University.
