With the development of economy, the material living conditions begin to improve slowly. More and more people are getting plump. In this era of thin beauty, everyone wants to have a good body and charming figure. Especially when summer comes, the clothes are thinning. In order to be worthy of expensive clothes, coupled with the media promote obesity harmful to health, more and more people are joining the army of weight loss. Losing weight is a good thing because too much fat does burden the body and cause many diseases. However, nothing is a total good thing. In some way, many extreme dieters are suffering from depression instead of losing fat. Here, I’m going to talk about the reason why people who lose weight are prone to depression.

First of all, it is psychological factor, people use many extreme ways in order to lose weight quickly, reducing a great deal of food intake is the most common way. But the body needs normal heat to maintain what it needs. Therefore, it is more difficult for dieters to control their food intake after a long and unhealthy diet. Dieters tend to feel chagrin after a big meal, even in extreme ways. Their mood changes over and over, finally it develops into depression. And dieters try not to eat too much, try to avoid going to dinner or a party. When a large number of people reduce their social activities in that extreme way, they are prone to be caught in depression.

Any disease can not be free of physiological effects, weight-related depression is the same. As the old saying goes, food is the paramount necessity of the people. Eating is human instinct. When humans eat, it’s not just to get the energy to keep life running. It’s about getting satisfaction and security while eating and after eating. You should know that the human body in the absence of food will produce a sense of crisis. And carbohydrates and sugar in foods make the body produce a substance called dopamine (a kind of neurotransmitter). Dopamine is a substance in the nervous system that transmits excitement and pleasure. Dieters cut sugar and carbohydrates significantly, leading to dopa in the body. There is a serious shortage of enzyme.

Losing weight is a good thing, but too much attention can turn a good thing into a bad one. Losing weight is not something that can be done in a while, so don’t worry about gain or loss for a little weight. There are many more important things in life than losing weight. Such as the company of relatives, good interpersonal communication and so on. Don’t lose weight by ignoring it. Above all, don’t go on a extreme diet!

There are three secrets of owning a healthy body and charming figure: adequate food intake, ample exercise and positive mood. The balance between them could create a high efficiency system. Only by doing so can you have a healthy body and charming figure, losing weight extremely only can lead to a possibility of depression.
