As students attend school worldwide, math would not have been created if mathematicians did not exist. Albert Einstein, Euclid, Carl Friedrich Gauss, and many more mathematicians have impacted the world by introducing the science of numbers we all know as mathematics. Isaac Newton, for instance, has been very impactful to the world of mathematics and his work has taken part with many contributions that have enhanced the world. I will be talking about Isaac Newton’s life and contributions he has made to improve math and science.

Isaac Newton was born in Woolsthorpe, England on January 4, 1643. As a young child, he grew up without a father and was taken care of by his grandmother most of the time. His family was mostly focused farming and wanted Isaac Newton to become a farmer.

However, Isaac Newton refused and decided to attend the King’s School in Grantham to receive his education. After he graduated, he decided to attend the University of Cambridge to study classical curriculum. Gradually, he fell in love with the works of ancient Greek philosophers and began to initiate on his theories of calculus and gravity.

Through his works, he determined that white light was a combination of all colors. He also established the laws of gravity and originated the concept of calculus. Around 1705, he was knighted by English royalty for his contributions to science and math. Unfortunately, he passed away on March 31, 1727 near Winchester, England.

On the other hand, his contributions to math and science were very impactful to the world. For example, the creation of calculus allowed improvements on math, science, engineering, biology, and more. He contributed on the origination of gravity and calculus which created realizations for the society to ponder on and use. Through this, the world was able to enhance many of the engineering and physics theories. Isaac Newton invented calculus to calculate the speed of a falling object, until he realized that the speed increases every second. He believed that this was an important aspect in the field of mathematics and sciences.

A reason why Isaac Newton is important to the modern world is because he took part in the concept of calculus. This allowed many scientists to make improvements on chemistry, physics, biology and many more subjects. This also gave students the opportunity to learn about the subject of calculus and gave more of an impact on the future of the society. He was also important because of his discovery of gravity. This allowed many scientists to apply this into many theories on astrology and gave them a realization of why people are able to walk and jump on a constantly rotating planet. Isaac Newton was impactful to many people and allowed many improvements to occur in the world.

In the present world today, we, as students, use many of the theories that Newton created. The whole concept of pre-calculus is a branch of calculus that Newton has made. All the lessons that we have learned came from Newton and allowed us to learn about triangles, graphs, and many more. Through his creation of calculus, we are able to learn many lessons and use it in our future lives.

In conclusion, Isaac Newton was an impactful person that allowed many improvements in the present society. His creation of calculus and discovery of gravity gave us the opportunity to have the realization of theories that are important to the world today.
