The growing demand for convenience is rapidly growing and it has led to the expansion of the food industry in the form of fast-food restaurants and casual dining restaurants.

Restaurants have played an essential role in the business or even in people’s social life. Nowadays restaurant business is booming because of the consumer-driven economy. That has made the business industries one of the most attractive businesses in recent years. As they said the most lucrative business is the food industry. Why? Simply because everybody needs to eat. Having a business is not as easy as it seems to be. There is a lot of factors to consider. The venue, it is a place where people always passed by? The consumers, what will be the target consumers the elite or the common people? By that they can decide what kind of food they will go to serve, and there are some other factors to consider. The fact that they cannot be denied that in a business there were many who succeeded but many were failed.

As of now there are many restaurant concepts likes under the sea restaurants, restaurants that will bring your dining experience to up in the air, floating restaurants and so on. Mostly is to attract customers. But then foods are high to consider aside from the most extravagant facade of the restaurant. Let’s not forget the price of each meal that comes in the most extravagant facade. Surely the consumers know that despite that people will still go there just to experience how is to eat in the unique restaurant.

The restaurant as we know it today, it is a place where people come and eat and drink and also socialize. Today people mostly want to eat in restaurants rather than to cook in their house for convenience. They are willing to pay more to eat in some restaurant. With all-new restaurants popping all over the city, it’s hard to know where the restaurant really worth your money.

The highly profitable as they said is the fast-food restaurant which caters mostly to the kids. When choosing where to eat well, we all know that kids wins. There we great brains behind those giants fast-food chains.

Despite of all these unique concepts, business ethics is more important in a business. As they said, “Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have the right to do? and what is right to do”.

This leads to the point that there are many issues when it comes to the ethics of their company. The range of business ethics issues is getting wider from day today. Such as fair treatment to employees, no discrimination, give the employee the salary and the benefits they deserve. Have a happy environment in the workplace, good harmony is good for the business. Be honest to the consumers. Practice fair business, the consumers should get the value for their money. Overpricing is unethical to the business.

The researcher conducted her research at restaurants in Angeles City. With the results of this study the researcher will know more about the ethics of the restaurants in a business.
