The term “Bucket List” is a list of goals one person wishes to accomplish at some point during their lifetime. It’s important to not only make goals for yourself but motivate yourself enough to achieve them. Creating goals for yourself can help you; emotionally, physically and mentally. When you achieve a goal, you can feel relieved, proud and overall genuinely happy. Physically you feel good, excited, feel like some type of weight are off your shoulders. Mentally, you’re proud of yourself, released some stress, ready to cross off one goal and make another. You can motivate yourself; some may even use “goals” to reach a target to push yourself. the purpose of goals and a bucket list is to motivate you to push your abilities.

Along the way, you might even learn a new skill you never knew you had or could do. You make goals for yourself not anyone else. You make goals you want to achieve. You can’t always achieve one. Sometimes, even if you try and do your hardest. You still can’t achieve it; that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep trying. It doesn’t mean you’re a failure in life. It means you need to reflect on your goals and truly reflect if you can do your other goals based on what you learned about yourself while trying to accomplish a past goal. People make mistakes and people learn from them. Always consider your “failed goal” as a lesson learned, don’t just think of achieving your actual goal is just the only accomplishment you should be proud of. What you learn about life, yourself, other, etc. can also be identified as an accomplishment. Goals and bucket lists are designed to help you further yourself in life.

My bucket lists includes, getting over my fear of flying by flying to a different country, such as the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia or just even California, I want to pass my LSAT and make it into Law School and pursue the career I’ve always wanted and what my goal job is. I feel like I haven’t really done anything adventurous, I’ve always stayed in my house, but I want to do spontaneous things in life, scuba diving, sky diving, snorkeling or just hiking up a mountain. I can achieve these goals by learning how to face my fears, I need to be more courageous, not hesitate on moving forward and motivating myself.

I value personal growth, self-confidence, kindness and respect. In order to achieve my goals, I need to build confidence to do so, I need to believe myself and constantly remind myself that I am able to accomplish goals I set in life. I’ll be able to push myself to my limits and continue my personal growth. I’ll be able to grow my confidence in myself by believing in myself, may it be a small achievement or a large one, but any accomplishment I make on the road to achieving my goals, is something that I need to be proud of. Growing as a person and learning on the way is one of my biggest values in life.
