Social Injustice is a concept of fair and just relation between the individual and society as measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities of personal activity and social privileges. Social injustice can also be based on perspective and self experience of whether one thinks it’s fair or not. There are many social injustice branches but some common ones being racial, gender and public schools in poor income areas. Racial injustice is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race. Every race has their amount of injustice and amount of hate, to begin with African Americans.

White superiority has been a huge problem for races and even back in the olden days. African Americans suffer bigger and worse problems because people see the color of their skin and see it as a weapon. In American generally there has been a problem with white cops and black citizens. Even recently there has been a case of a black man being shot by a white police officer. A young colored kid named Sean Reed was a military veteran and was pulled over and the cops saw his color and was scared of his skin and used it as a fear mechanism and that is how we lost a beautiful angel.

People fear black people because of stereotypes and use it to define every black folk. White people have a history with black people and times have changed but obviously people haven’t changed and still call black people the N- word even the N-word with a hard -er at the end. Hispanics recently have had a lot of injustice themselves for not having papers or having residency. Many hispanics can’t get a job because they were not born here, they have a lot of struggles that they can’t overcome without proof of residency. Hispanics don’t exactly have the same problem as black people with cops but the color of their skin is also feared. Many people use the stereotype of a hispanic being illegal and being only from Mexico but obviously that’s not always the case.

Many hispanics come from Central American and South America, and they are not always illegal aliens. People have the same tendency to call hispanics wet back, as for the fact that when crossing the border they carry their backpacks and the sweat is a print is the backpack. Next, is gender injustice between women, men and transgenders. Gender injustice and inequality acknowledges that men and women are not equals and that gender affects an individuals living experience. Many men would say they have it harder than women but that’s not true because being a woman comes with a lot to bear with. Women can’t wear whatever they want without being called a certain name or being harassed.

Women are seen as an easier target in a lot of situations such as if a woman walks into the dealership alone they use the easier words to talk about cars but if a man were to walk in with her they would use the correct terminology and be even more honest about the car. Women are seen as staying at home, cleaning the house, making food, having everything ready for the man while he is at work, and when he gets home to serve him as if the woman is the maid, that’s the stereotype. There have been many stats on that women are less likely to become the CEO of a company than a man is, women are more minimum wage workers than CEOs. Men are seen to be only working to know everything about fixing things are the masculine figure.

That’s not always the case either some men don’t know anything about cars, or anything about houses or don’t even know how to fight. It’s not even bad because men don’t always have to be the savior or the protector. Recently, society has come to accept transgenders a little more but they still struggle with inequality. Transgenders deal with having to accept themselves even if society doesn’t. They deal with a lot of hate because people state that there are only “two genders.” They get harassed as much as women do and they deal with being hated by friends and even family. They get harassed on social media, in person but it’s even worse on social media because people hide behind a screen. Lastly, public schools in poor income areas and its because school funding is local.

Public schools in poor income areas have less funding than schools in higher income areas. Higher income areas have easy access to guidance counselors, school psychologists, personal laptops, and up-to-date textbooks, those in low income areas. Lower spending can irreparably damage a child’s future, especially for kids from poor families. Lower income areas with no money have more of the chance of the domino effect because low funding lower school quality. Public schools in low income areas can’t supply students with supplies, bullying rates are higher because if a student has something that the oher can’t afford they are bound to get made fun of.

Social injustice has a lot of problems but the problem is being able to overcome the problems that society gives everyone. Not everyone has it easy, not everyone has an open mind or an understanding view. Social Injustice is a concept of fair and just relation between the individual and society as measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities of personal activity and social privileges. It’s a concept created by society because not everyone comes together.
