In the past 50 years, there have been many notorious serial killers in our society. For example. American murderer. sex offender and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer. In a panicularly horrible manner, Dahmer killed 17 men between the years 1978 and 1991. He is one of the most popular serial killers the world has ever known. Dahmer’s upbringing, victims, prison life and death will be discussed in this research essay. Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer was brought into the world on May 21″, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the first of two sons of Joyce Annette and Lionel Herbert Dahmer. Dahmer’s childhood was unlike any other, When Dahmer and his father would discover animals that had perished beneath their home, they would spend hours together bleaching the connective tissue and fur off the corpses of rodents, says Wahlstrom. Edwards led the officers back to Dahmer’s apartment, where they discovered a horrifying scene. During his trial, Dahmer admitted to committing a string of murders and the subsequent acts of necrophilia, dismemberment, and cannibalism.
