As a world that is continuing to grow, each decade, people across the globe crave ultimate power, but with power comes direction in which will be aimed at. There are states in the world that want a particular structure of government, but their values do not reflect their policies. As an example, Samuel Huntington states Muslims want democracy for the middle east, but the nation struggles with divorce and abortion. Being said that, certain aspects of politics matter, but family matters and religion have more importance. Religion is the core representation of what people put their belief in. If someone does not believe in God, they are still putting their faith in there is not a God who is still a belief system.
Based on someone’s belief system is how institutions around the world continue to function. Countries go to war with each other based on their belief of how the nation should operate and going to war settles the back and worth that has taken place so far. Therefore, religion is not only a God people go to for prayer, but faith is a faith-based system instilled in the world to guide us on the straight and narrow road. Without including religion in the building blocks of democracy, the foundation of government would not be stable. Values hold together the peace of mind of a person and its country. The United States of America is built on the “American Dream.” Thus, if I can obtain specific opportunities within a specified period, then I will be successful.
The structure of the American Dream is one part of capitalism that keeps the economy going. The world is built on the foundation of religion, and in the United States of American states will continue to be successful because of their faith-based principle. Similar, family matters because if a war ever brought out that required women and men to go to war, the household would be broken apart. They are therefore Leaving no parents to watch the kids. Not only would there be a lack of parents, but the military would have to install now unisex public bathrooms, which would cause some complications for some people. As Phillip Kim states in the article “The two women’s movements,” it is essential to include women’s rights into legislation, so the country does not fall apart. The use of abortion may not be a priority to some people, but installing the factor that a woman can get is key to keeping a country together.
Similar, accepting Huntington’s premise, it is reasonable to think that religion, family, and politics can coexist together. Faith and family start the foundation of the world, but politics encompasses the hard truth when reality comes into play. The reality being, if all churches permanently close, there will be a nation that lacks a place to refuge when people need hope and peace. Politics is the glue that keeps the U.S. running smoothly. Politics is built to survive on its own, but without core values, the survival of its system will soon come to an end.
