The narrator works in a tobacco factory called Tobacco Leaf House. He begins to introduce himself as an “international observer”. He is a person who sees things differently, who contradicts events, and who questions them. His observations include seeing and showing contradictions. Another aspect of him is the observation of people’s clandestine actions called privacy. He observes the world and records his perceptions even when he sleeps. He observes how people live in the streets, in the workplace, in the houses. Everyone around him is in his field of interest. The observer who continues his observations without any limitation of time, space and a person gets often into trouble because of these unlimited observations. First, he begins to observe by listening to the bellies of women and he develops further his observations. The observer who is caught while he is watching the ladies’ room and reveals that the manager has a relationship with the wife of his employee is fired from his job for causing fights constantly. Because he establishes unusual and sick logical relationships, he cannot get along with anyone in society. In fact, people have difficulty in understanding or even they do not understand him. He aims to understand whether there is any such thing as mathematical certainty or not. In a sense, mathematical certainty is the cause of happiness in the world. Perhaps people think the certainty created by their own mind as the law of nature, maybe they are wrong to assume that. Here, the work of the observer to understand it and to prove it to us. According to the observer, the observation of people in all situations and places is not a crime, but the use of freedoms. The freedom of humans should not have any limits. Initially, the observer begins the observation by dividing the time. The observer who said that he is observing twenty-four hours a day in the first days, then, he increases his observations forty-eight, seventy-two, and the last ninety-six hours. Although he gets many jobs after leaving the Tobacco Leaf House, he is either fired or chased by people and has to flee. Since we are open-minded beings, he is considered right but being observed is certainly not something everyone wants, that’s why everyone gets displeased. When the observer comes home, he switches on the power switch but the room does not illuminate due to the infinite time division. In this case, the observer who has to go to bed in a dark room realizes the cat waiting for him in bed when his feet touch. In this way, he discovers that all his senses can be used. He continues his observations not just by seeing, but also by using all his senses. He begins to use all the cells of his body to observe the universe. He tastes, listens, and touches everything. He tries to burn a man because he wants to know how he feels when he is burning in the oven. For this reason, he is admitted to the mental hospital.
