President Trump has begun proposing guidelines for opening the economy; normalcy may soon return. The purpose of this paper is to examine the concerns, expectations, and lastly, the solutions to reopening after the Corona Virus. In the past weeks, Americans’ view of the crisis has been unpredictable. President administrations, medical advisers, and scientists have been just as unpredictable. In truth, it is not clear to anyone where this crisis is leading us. Health experts, as well as the President and his administration, have shared their thoughts on the future.
Americans still do not know the one question everyone seems to what to know, when can we emerge from our homes? President’s administration is working on an ‘approach to reopening, widespread testing and surveillance, a treatment that works, adequate resources for health care providers and eventually an effective vaccine’ Mr. Trump delivers a press briefing full of hope. The lockdowns will end, a protective pill is almost at hand, and football stadiums and restaurants will soon be open. Are the promises true, are like many experts suggest, a fantasy? Most specialists thought that once the crisis was over, the country and its economy would recover quickly.
Dr. Harvey V. Fienberg, of the National Academy of Medicine, explained that a vaccine would be hard to find. He says that citizens would abandon restrictions despite the risks and that the virus would be with us from now on.’ The coronavirus pandemic is going to cause pain and suffering to many However. It may force us to think about who we are and what we value, and, in the long run, it could help us rediscover the better version of ourselves. How this pandemic will end seems to be anyone’s guess. It will depend mostly on medical advisors and all Americans. If we protect ourselves and our loved ones, more of us will live. If we try to educate ourselves about the virus, it will help us understand how we can protect ourselves and others.
Let us hope all of this will end soon. That by summer, this all will ease up. I am confident our scientists can and will find a vaccine. There is hope in this crisis; good things could come out of it; for example, an appreciation for the outdoors and family and health. No one knows what will happen, but even the unknown will our society change, and our government, healthcare, and economy change. When this is over, we should all pray that Americans will recognize their sacrifice, and true patriotism. We will be saluting our doctors and nurses, bowing and saying, ‘Thank you for your service,’ as we now do for military veterans. We will finally start to understand patriotism more, advancing the health and life of the community rather than blowing up and destroying someone else’s community.
