Splash! That’s the sound of me jumping into the deep endless ocean. When I open my eyes an explosion of color fills my vision. Hundreds of colorful fish and coral surround me. The colorful fish swim by and my body is filled with excitement and exhilaration. The ocean truly excites me as I examine all the rocks and creatures that decorate the ocean floor below. I dive deeper holding my breath for as long as I can, I feel the urge to touch everything in the coral reef from its soft sand to it slimy algae.
The bumpy coral rubs against my foot as I swim by and i can tell that one false move could get me hurt of worse. I tell myself to be careful and avoid any sharp objects of toothed predators but as that happens a wave of fear falls over me as I think back at all the dangerous things that rule the ocean. As I investigate everything on the ocean floor, i start to realize that it is impossible to hold my breath much longer and push down against the soft ocean sand I blast myself up to the surface.
I take a deep breath of air and dive right back down again. I need to see everything before we have to head back to the boat. The coral reef is absolutely astounding and the thought of anything dreadful leaves my mind. I look up at the light streaming through the water like a light shooting through darkness. As I look back at the bright life filled scenery i catch a sight of a small shark darting around in the water.

Although probably deadly, I swim closer to study this beautiful creature. The shark was amazing, its speckled spots shine on its body like a cold winter nights sky and its thin tube shaped body cuts through the water like butter. The entire coral reef was alive and the peacefulness of the ocean under the harsh waved was awesome but as i push off the sandy ocean floor once more i hear the boats siren that tells us its time to go.
I climb on the boat longing to have one more dive down into the amazing coral reef but the boat starts moving and before I know it were back o the docks. I look back at the deep mysterious ocean and miss the rough bumpy coral, the bright colorful fish, the smooth skin of the shark, and even the exhilaration of jumping into the water.
My mind is filled with hope and excitement for all the times I wish to go snorkeling again. I walk off the hardwood dock and with the taste of salt still in my mouth I think of tall the things in the ocean that I wish to discover.
