Because all the people are getting more and more rich, so they put more effort to diet. But in their opinion, balanced diet means eat the food which is full of nutrition. But they don’t care about what is balanced diet. They focus less on what kinds of nutriment they have taken in. In that case, more and more health disease was taking place and there are a lot of people suffer from these illnesses.

During the research of World Health Organization, the amount of obesity has been increasing rapidly in the 20 years. The rate of obesity was increasing to 17% from 8% in 1980s. It also shows that there are nearly two-thirds of adults are overweight or obese (Mark, 2014). While a large amount of people are overweight, there do still exist some people who are suffering from malnutrition. The United Nations shows that there are eighth of all people are malnutrition. So it seems that health problem has become a serious problem in the world.

Having introduced health problem for a long time, let’s talk about a specific health problem that is common in our daily life—obesity. Overweight and obesity are defined based on body mass index (BMI), which is determined as weight (kg) divided by height2 (m).A healthy BMI range is 18.5–24.9 kg/m2. Overweight is defined as a BMI from 25–29.9 kg/m2, and obesity is defined as BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2. Obesity can be further subdivided based on subclasses of BMI.

Waist circumference can be used in combination with a BMI value to evaluate health risk for individuals (Mitchell, 2011). The reason why people will have obesity is that assimilation is less than catabolism, which means what you take in is more than what you have digestion. In that case, what you take in will change into fat, if the fat is getting more and more, you will be fat. In that case, if you don’t have desire to do some sports, you will be obesity. But BMI is not the only one index to show weather you have obesity, it also depend on your body fat percentage.

If you have a lot of muscle, your BMI will get higher but it doesn’t mean you have obesity. So even when the BMI is high because of body fatness, it does not alert the physician to the location of the excess fat (Wyatt, 2013). And now it seems that the number of obesity people is still increasing. In the last few years, obesity rates have not increased significantly in some U.S. subpopulations, but it is too soon to tell whether this means that the epidemic has reached maximum levels in these populations (Mitchell, 2011).

So more and more people are tending to change this situation. But to be honest, all obesity treatments involve some degree of risk, with the goal being to balance the potential risk and benefits of the treatment for a specific individual (Wyatt, 2013). Doing some sports is the most effective way to solve this problem. It can help digest the nutrition that you don’t need so that you can make you healthier.

Having mentioned obesity, let’s move on next illness—malnutrition. Malnutrition, with its 2 constituent of protein–energy malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies, continues to be a major health burden in developing countries. It is globally the most important risk factor for illness and death, with hundreds of millions of pregnant women and young children particularly affected (Muller, 2005).

Malnutrition is different with obesity. It was caused if what you take in is less than your digestion. So it may take place in some developing country. Today’s world is characterized by the coexistence of agricultural bounty and widespread hunger and malnutrition (Webb, 2018). So it still has a lot of places that have people who has malnutrition. In all, 182 malnourished and 189 well-nourished children and their mothers participated in the study (pediatr, 2015). So it is hard for them to eat a nutritional meal, which makes them are likely to have malnutrition. Malnutrition is a major cause of child morbidity and mortality.

There are several interventions to prevent the condition but it is unclear how well they are taken up by both malnourished and well nourished children and their mothers and the extent to which this is influenced by socio-economic factors (pediatr,2015). But how to solve these questions, I think there a lot of ways to solve it. Firstly, we can donate some food to make sure the people in poor area are able to have food to eat, which can help them avoid malnutrition gradually. And we also can make some activities to let more and more people can notice these people and devoted themselves to helping these people.

The last thing is keeping a balanced diet. If you keep a balanced diet, you will be health and can easily get rid of the illness such as obesity and malnutrition. Balanced diet means you should eat all the things which can provide the correct nutrition and you shouldn’t put single nutrition too much in that case you may get the illness such as coronary heart disease if you take in too much cholesterol. you also can’t ignore single nutrition. If you do like this you also have possibility to get some illness. For example, if you haven’t got enough iron element, you may be lack of bleed so that they can’t finish some activities because of they will feel dizzy if they do a lot of works.

It is important to have a balanced diet. In that case we can avoid some illnesses. If you keep a balanced diet, it is hard for you to get obesity and malnutrition. So it is important to have balanced diet. And you should eat more vegetables to gain more vitamins and take in proper meat to get the necessary protein. In the last, remember to drink more water to make metabolism quirkier so that it can eliminate more poison to make you healthier.
