Growing as a writer is easy when you are taught the correct way. For me I have seen my greatest improvements as a writer this semester so far. I believe this is due to the fact that I was able to understand and follow along with many of the discussions and activities within this course. I like many other international students, are faced with not only learning a second language but also writing in that language as well. The biggest challenge I faced would most certainly be writing papers. I was always fearful of making a stupid mistake and sounding dumb I would always wait last minute to do things as well, which made it even worse overcoming this problem was difficult at first but got easier with time.
After this class I feel a lot better about my writing, I also have noticed that l have not been making as many mistakes on essays for other classes as well. I am more informed and have a lot better understanding regarding reading and writing I would have to say my biggest strength would be the opinions I have I really enjoy adding my comments and opinions to essays that we have read in class. I feel that I have a pretty good understanding of thinking critically now. Although I have faced many challenges in learning a new language, I feel that I have grown a lot, I have put a lot of effort into my grammar, and I am pleased with the results. It took a lot of dedication to be where I am at now When times became difficult I never gave up.
