While education may be costly, and takes a substantial amount of time to complete, many people in today’s society don’t perceive how important education can really be on the well-being of our society, education helps shape who we are as a person and our personality, teaches us about the world around us, and education allows us to build opinions and have points of view on things in life.
First, education is not only about adding and subtracting and writing essays like quite a bit of people in society think, it’s about far more than that, education is about building people to become who they are, and creating a person’s personality. When someone starts to study a certain subject, I believe that it opens up a total new mindset for them to begin to find out who they are. I think that throughout elementary school and high school that education instructs and allows people to develop variously as moral, good, civic, mannered, behaved, non-bullying, healthy, critical, successful, traditional, compliant, or socially acceptable human beings.
If people weren’t to go through the basics of education, imagine what society would be like, without people learning the basics on how you should be to live with society today. I think that when people obtain knowledge that it gives discipline, which allows you to see how you should be. People realize what they want to pursue with their career through education because they are learning what people do with a certain occupation, as well as what further education they may have to pursue.

Additionally, education not only helps shape who we are as a person, but education helps shape the world around us. The world is practically running by some unsuccessful people, but mostly those who are educated and successful. I believe that education is a great key to life. When you ride the train to work, or buy your coffee in the morning, chances are, education is probably a large factor in the daily routine. I believe that thing that people say that we use algebra in our lives every day, and sometimes we don’t even know it. The role of education is to prepare students for college, work, and even how to socialize. Education allows many people to do things that that you are not able to do without an education.
I think that it is also a large factor in how education helps shape our personality because it allows one to be polite and teaches them to have ethical values, such as compassion, respect, and responsibility. By people pursing some post-secondary education, they have made some of the most amazing things in the world possible, like inventing the first iPhone. Steve Jobs had once said, Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.” I think that shows to go that in order for someone to be smart and do amazing things, there is education behind that.
Finally, I am a strong believer that education allows us to build our own opinions and have our own views on things in life. I think that if it weren’t for the basis of education, that a lot of people wouldn’t know what to believe in, whether it be their type of religion, or what they think is right and/or wrong. I think that a huge example of how education allows us to have our opinions is our political system. If people didn’t have any education, then they would not know what to believe in. I also think that education causes a lot of the turmoil in our world, and I don’t necessarily think that that is a horrible thing. I believe that a society that disagrees, keeps it moving. Lastly, education allows us to decipher from what we believe is right from wrong, and I believe that that is huge.
Education does and always will play a vital role in shaping successful people. It allows one to have the opportunity to become a productive member in our civilized society. Each and every day, with the help of education we are able to overcome many obstacles as well as pursue many challenges that we were faced with. I don’t think that many understand the importance of education, education really does shape our society as a whole, as well teaches one how to be.
