Chickens constantly evolve by nature and advance their life cycle. Even this animal constantly evolves until it grows up and gets the last name; chicken. They are known as chick when they were first born, and chicken when spawning. These animals, whose lives last approximately 15-20 years, have short wings. Thanks to their feet, they can walk and run, and they can fly at very short distances (1-2 meters) using their wings. They eat their meals with their strong beaks.

Founded in chicken eggs Vitamin B7, or biotin, is a small molecule that’s important for cell growth. Birds, lizards and reptiles all lay eggs and the egg yolks contain everything necessary for an embryo to grow, including biotin. Biotin is also necessary for bacteria to grow, and so this makes egg yolk great food for bacteria and susceptible to infection. This is the natural defense mechanism in their biology.

They also have their own defense methods. Chickens have a hierarchical sense of community. Chickens living in the wild usually travel in flocks of 25 to 30 chickens. These chickens traveling in flocks establish a hierarchical structure among themselves, and all the chickens in the group act by adopting their roles in this hierarchical structure. It can fight against predators thanks to the hierarchical structure they have established. PETA, the international animal rights organization, reports that there are studies that indicate that chickens living in their natural habitat can survive the attack of predators by 90 percent. Chickens can also attack against predators to protect the chicks in their group. They can also communicate with each other by making at least 24 different sounds, they can alert each other to predators, and call on other chickens in the group for help.

Although they did not look frightening, the scientists concluded that the chickens were the closest living relative of T-Rex, who lived 68 million years ago and was nicknamed the ‘king of dinosaurs’. Studies conducted by comparative zoology specialist Chris Organ from Harvard University investigated protein residues from T-Rex fossils, and it was determined that the closest relative among these living species was chickens. So, chickens have been the definitive proof of evolution in this way.

Chickens have evolved continuously, gaining a number of biological features. Depending on the neural feedback from their bodies, they fix their heads using their muscles. Why are they doing this? There’s only one reason the chicken has evolved to keep its head steady: seeing.

ABSTRACT: Focuses on what attracts it’s attention. First they push their head forward and fix their eyes. So it’s eyes only look at the point they target. They then move their bodies forward without ever moving their heads. So their bodies line up with their heads. If they want to return somewhere, they turn their heads to that point, fix the head and turn their bodies. The reason for this is that chickens cannot fix their heads and focus their eyes while looking somewhere. The reason why the chicken head does not move while the body is moving is vestibulo-ocular reflex, which allows chickens to keep their skulls stable.

BRAINSTORM: German giant auto company Mercedes-Benz designed the auto control system named Magic Body Control in its new cars, inspired by this head stabilization of chickens. The system is not based on not feeling it from inside after receiving any impact, but on taking precautions before the impact occurs. Just like chickens, it focuses on what is opposite and applies the system applied by chickens to see better. The system that scans even small pits or bumps up to 1cm-2.5cm at a distance of 5m-15m with a pair of cameras placed in front of the sun visors, feeds the car’s active body control unit by analyzing the road. In this way, the vehicle can calculate how much impact the tires will take and take measures. The system also feeds cruise control with information.
As a result, the vehicle passes from the pit or bumps without even moving the case, so to be honest, the car moves like the iron that slides on the ironing board. In order to promote this system, Mercedes Benz attracted attention by playing a chicken whose body was steady and its head remained steady in the advertise of this system.

EVALUATE: This natural reflex of chickens is related to EVOLVE TO SURVIVE. The chickens could not shake their heads and focus their eyes while walking. If they did not do this movement, they would not see anything. Hens that they have evolved for centuries, chickens have had to undergo such biological changes in order to survive and have carried them to their genetics as they evolved.

With this innovative system that Mercedes applied and claims to be groundbreaking in the car industry, they integrate development with growth. And they think that this system will be a pioneer in their next productions and they will increase their brand quality with their comfort. Also, the oil flow at each corner could be adjusted so accurately that any surface flaw could be practically neutralized. In this way, after the blows received from outside by the car, the oil flowing to the environment is blocked. Mercedes is acting locally attuned and responsive to surrounding environment by this system.

How did chickens evolve?
The very first chicken in existence would have been the result of a genetic mutation (or mutations) taking place in a zygote produced by two almost-chickens (or proto-chickens) . This means two proto-chickens mated, combining their DNA together to form the very first cell of the very first chicken.
What did chickens descended from?
Most scientists agree that the Southeast Asian Red Junglefowl (gallus gallus) is the primary wild ancestor of chickens.
What is the history of the chicken?
Genomic studies estimate that the chicken was domesticated 8,000 years ago in Southeast Asia and spread to China and India 2000–3000 years later . Archaeological evidence supports domestic chickens in Southeast Asia well before 6000 BC, China by 6000 BC and India by 2000 BC.
Where did chickens come from originally?
The chicken is one of the most ubiquitous domesticated animals; it is bred for both its egg and meat, and is thought to have originally been domesticated from the red junglefowl (Gallus gallus) native to multiple regions from Southeast Asia to Southwest China 3 , 4 , 5 .
