Setting up any business or managing any company or creating any new startup—is all about facing the problem and sorting these out. Few people find these issues easy to solve, while some other face difficulties based on the different level of individual calibre and experience. However, if the problem including the reason that might cause the problems is identified in a correct manner, the more possible correct measure can be taken to take the business forward. That is why, the proper study about a business, from top to bottom, inter and external—has to be examined.
Nonetheless, problems are a regular part of any business similar to our personal life where we face problem in our personal arena regularly. The way we continuously solve our individual problem to experience happiness, we also solve our business problem. In this paper, we will illustrate the steps of how to solve the problems that surround any business environment.

The problems exist within different companies are not the same type and the same dimension; rather it varies in its cause, effect and results. These are numerous. However, it is imperative to find out the type of problems to sort these out more efficiently and effectively. As I am carrying the responsibility of a learning and training adviser, of Baby Planet, it is required at the very first step to identify the problem, scrutinize them and proceed forward to find out the proper measurement to solve the problems.
Taking into consideration about Baby Planet, an infants product manufacturer company operating in the UK, exporting its products to worldwide it gained immense popularity to the consumers. The most popular product by Baby Planet is the PeePee baby diaper. PeePee diaper has become very popular due to the durability, quality and price, however Baby Planet isn’t able to meet market demand. Baby Planet extremely struggling to maintain the pace and speed of production according to the demand in the market. As a result, risk increases that few of our clients may move to other, which further can be a big threat for the business.
Business Problem in Detail
At this stage of this business, I have to break down the problem in order to find out the solution to implement each and every stage of the business process. Lack of production occurs for various reasons i.e. if not the necessary amount of investment is not invested, weakness in the production process due to lack of resources, manpower and so on.
In this point, export has not only increased the amount of investment but also it has to ensure to implement the correct process of manufacturing. Baby Planet has to recruit the relevant skilled and competent people or ensure relevant training and development program to meet up the desired skill of the worker. At the same time, it should not forget to keep up a balance between the investment and other newly increased costs.
Root Causes of the Problem
As we know the fact that the pre-requisite to achieving the goal is to identify the root causes of the problem i.e. reason behind the apparent problem. Though Baby Planet can increase the amount of capital to invest in the production of PeePee Diaper and train the people to prepare them, still chances remain in another way to trouble the manufacturing process. These issues are to be identified after a dip down the causes so that in further same issues do not arise.
Although, from the very beginning of this project the Baby Planet made it possible to create a buzz in the market, increased the sale gradually, getting the order of product in a most consistent way—but after a certain period of time the demand went high. To keeping pace with the market demand, the company has to think of re-invest a big amount of money so that customers and client remain satisfied.
Moreover, lack of properly qualified and skilful employees has a become an issue for this problem. As a business executive, I feel the same problem within this company without exception. Finding the right person, retain them and utilize the best of their quality—these are required. However, recruiting many people at the same time may cause some additional problem. Rather, step by step getting the right staff along with the training the existing staffs can speed up the production.
Confirming Others to Understands the Problems
After identifying the root causes of the business environment, the very next step is to share the problem with other people of this business company. After going through deep study, the key points which I have found out now need to be sorted out. The whole should start from top to bottom of the business company. I have to communicate with the boss, both be he as a manager or CEO or owner and let them inform the details nature of the problem. Then this leadership of the company will take initiative to inform or pass to the rest of the company regarding the problem and causes. Thus, it will be very much effective for the staff and employees regardless they are new or old to co-operate to go forward to bringing out the best solution after understating the situation clearly.
Range of Methods of Solving the Problem
So, after getting a clear idea about the situation comprehensively, the step is about finding the most effective methods to reach the solution. After correct investigation, the appropriate method should be taken to be implemented from any either of the two following methods:
Training Program: I could arrange a workshop and training program for the employees in order to increase their skills. - Process: The workers will be divided into many small groups. An experienced or expert employee will guide them to proceed to fulfil the task and will monitor them.
- Limitation: Not every time possible to find a top-quality expert (who has the leadership quality too) who at the same time build others skill too.
Goal 3
Achieving high level of perfection.
- Process: It is possible through continuous examining the goal and target result. It should be done the HR department, as they should find all the positives and negatives, therefore they will inform regarding this.
- Limitations: Keeping eyes on the staff in a continuous manner is not possible every time if the resource is limited.

Roles and Responsibilities of The Plan
The step Baby Planet will take in this part is to assign people for different roles and responsibilities in order to begin the problem-solving process. The people within the Baby Planet will take responsibilities on their shoulder to accomplish the job.
Manager
The managers’ role is to find out the right people for recruitment. To accommodate the training for the employees, the manager of Baby Planet will decide questions of where, how, who and when.
HR
The job of the HR department of Baby Planet would be continuous checking regarding the performance and ensuring to keep up the standard.
Senior employees
Those who are already working for Baby Planet for years and gained experience, they can be selected to run out the different small team with a different task. Thus, the new and inexperienced worker will learn in a quick process.
My Role
Since I am assigned the role of Learning and training advisor or Baby Planet and this is one the most important post of the HR department, I have to keep the eye open and full time active to monitor all the process to ensure that all the process is running effectively. If I notice any flaws or mistakes, I have to take immediate initiative. As a result, the overall performance of this company will be increasing in a constant manner.
Progress Review
After the initial steps of the problem-solving part, the whole process seems to be positive and it brought the expected result. The workers, who were chosen for training purpose accomplished the training successfully. The other who were less skilled is now competent in a certain factor and contribute independently. Overall, experiences of the employees have also been boosted after working under the expert worker.
Mandatory Adjustments of the Plan
This is another role of mine which should not be overlooked. Throughout the whole implementation process, few adjustments may be required to fit in the process so that the method process within its track to reaching the goal. If Baby Planet recruits new people, their skill development issues should be adjusted at the beginning so that the best of their services are ensured from the first moment.
Assessing the Approach
After the time period what we set before for the problem-solving process the step is now to assess and evaluate the whole process. I found out that Baby Planet has achieved the target goal what we fixed earlier, we noticed a positive reflection in the work performance, the employees and other took the process positively, and the method proved to be cost-effective yet productive in overall quality performance.
Checking Other Tools
Although we found out this combined method is effective, it is however needed to implement and execute the process differently, independently and separately. Since we could face the initial problem successfully, it is now possible to proceed with the process one by one after examining which one should be and when should execute. Therefore, the company would reach another level in term of its service and customer satisfaction.
Conclusion
There is no business or enterprise without problems. Internal and external, whatever, problems are common. The job of the Owner or the assigned person of any company is to deal and minimize the problem in a smarter way so that progress does not stop.
