At work I am constantly finding something to work on, doing a job well done, and moving on to the next task. As an achiever I do work faster than others, and don’t like wasting any time. As far as my leadership style being an achiever indicates my need to have my day planned out an accomplish everything on my list as well as showing others how to do so as well.
Restorative
Restoratives are categorized by their ability to analyze the symptoms, identify what is wrong and, find the solution. Restoratives are pretty much problem solvers. They enjoy doing this type of work and are good at it. At my workplace my coworkers usually bring problems to my attention, since I enjoy problem solving. Being a restorative indicates that my leadership style is more of hands on type style. What’s wrong and how can I fix it?

Servant Leadership
Robert K. Greenleaf said that the servant-leader is a servant first. It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve (1991). These leaders are the opposite of leader-first leaders who are more driven by power and their own gains. In the Army that have 7 Army Values loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. I can clearly see that I am a servant leader. I am more focused on the group’s success than I am on my own individual success. I work hard, and take time out of my schedule, to make sure that the needs of the team are met, and we work as a group to achieve our goals.
Weakness
One of my weaknesses at home is time management. This is a weakness that I have had to struggle with it seems so hard for me to maneuver, working a full-time job and attending school full time. I always feel that there is never enough time to accomplish my tasks whether it is work related or assignments for school.
My phobia of presentation would be stumbling and speaking to fast or saying things that the audience cannot understand. I recognize my strengths and weaknesses and I do acknowledge the fact that my personal weaknesses need improvement in all areas of my personal and professional environment. Identifying your personal strengths and weaknesses will allow you to learn in most types of situations whether it be your career or personal life. Trying to improve your weaknesses, will make you more aware and give you the motivation to turn that weakness into strength. In all areas that I have acknowledged as my weaknesses, I have an action plan in order to overcome my personal weaknesses. With this action plan, in order to overcome my weakness in Leadership at work, my goal is to take on more responsibility and taking the initiative to delegate any tasks that need to be completed without supervision. To overcome my weakness of time management at home, I need to organize my schedule and separate work, and school and giving the appropriate time for each.
In improving my presentation skills, my goal is to practice speaking out loud to a familiar group and become more confident in what I am presenting. I am confident that I will overcome my weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
