Gandhi’s Biography
Gandhi was born in Porbandar, India on October 2, 1869. He had a mother (Putlibai Gandhi) and a father (Karamchand Gandhi), both wonderful people. Gandhi was the youngest of four children. Gandhi was also a member of the Hindu religion. For education, Gandhi went to Alfred High School, Samaldas Arts College, UCL Faculty of Law, and City, University of London. All these places taught him to become a great man. Gandhi was in a time without peace, without love. As Gandhi grows up, he saw less peace and less love.
Gandhi led Indians independence movement in the 1930s and 40s. This led Gandhi to become a famous and important man. Gandhi learned a lesson from his first event, that people needed peace and he could give them peace. Gandhi had to overcome racism and hate. Mahatma Gandhi was influenced by many people. These people are Gautama Buddha, Henry David Thoreau, Leo Tolstoy, Jyotirao Phule, and Shibli Nomani. These people influenced Gandhi to become a great man. Gautama Buddha wisdom and the way of peace influenced, Gandhi, to become more wise and peaceful. Henry David Thoreau poems about tax resister, surveyor, and more influenced Gandhi about the world and the problems it had. Leo Tolstoy novels, like War and Peace, influenced Gandhi about war and peace. Jyotirao Phule books influenced Gandhi of peace and freedom. Shibli Nomani books also influenced Gandhi.

Gandhi did a lot of things to become famous, but one this was leading the Indians independence movement. He also made speeches of non-violence and peace. Gandhi had made a lot of this and a lot of accomplishments. Some accomplishments are winning his first battle of civil disobedience in India at the campaign. Another accomplishment was leading a non-violent tax revolt in Kheda. Another accomplishment was that he launched the Quit India movement. Gandhi created peace around the world. Gandhi saw a lot of hate and violence, but he still stayed on the right path. His parents and he must have been proud of what he has done and what accomplishments he has done.
Gandhi had done a big impact on the world. Gandhi’s impacts had changed the world in a good way. Gandhi created peace and love around the world, it helped many people and places. Gandhi inspired non-violence movements for civil rights. This impacted the world a lot, from his example of non-violent protest is still used throughout the world today. Because of Gandhi examples of non-violent protest, there are now less violent protest and more non-violent protest. It must have been hard for Gandhi to inspire people, but he did it and he made the world a better place. Gandhi will always be a great and important man.

Some of Gandhi personality traits were in truthfulness, equality, forgiveness, faith in yourself, and non-violence.
