information
Harriet Tubman suffered throughout her life fighting to make the world a better place for her people. Harriet was separated from her close family as a child and ended up spending many years as a slave. However, this heroic woman still found the strength to fight against her oppressors as shown in graduate school Harriet Tubman essay samples.
After the death of her husband, John Tubman, who was also her owner, Harriet escaped to Pennsylvania for her freedom. In essays about Harriet Tubman, although she became free, Harriet went back to Maryland’s Eastern Shores where she worked hard to lead close to 70 people to freedom. She did this despite the horrific Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 that was a threat to her life as a fugitive slave.
Based on this Harriet Tubman essay, her life inspired many, including the men. During the Civil War of 1861, Massachusetts governor John Andrew registered Harriet with the union generals whom she assisted in recruiting black troops and nurses for the war. The inspiring life of Harriet Tubman made her people call her Moses.
