What is the meaning of the word laziness? Have you ever thought about the reasons of your laziness? Why there are lazy? These questions are rather interesting and related, because everyone has experienced the feeling of laziness.

Sometimes in our lives we know that we are going through the time that we are worried because we are inactive. Lazy to wake up, lazy to go to school and lazy to do anything. Whether we are or not, we all become lazy in one way or another. In fact, it’s hard to resist laziness. Even though we want to change and to do actions, but we cannot do it because we do-nothing. That’s difficult right? As a student, I will try to observe this problem by giving 3 possible reasons why we are lazy, especially for students.

Laziness also known as indolence is disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to act or to exert oneself. A person is being lazy if he refuse to fulfil his duties and prefer leisure to work. And also, for the society, laziness is negative act.

The first possible reason why students become lazy because of the lack of sleep. Lack of sleep also known as sleep deprivation, is the condition of not having enough sleep. It is because of playing games or addicted in the internet. We are awake all night to online, playing games, or do something else relating the internet. And also, many students sacrifice sleep to study for a test, finish a project on time or just because they are stressed out. If the students are not having proper sleep during the night, they will always feel lazy and dizzy while their studies and as a student I felt that.

Another possible reason is procrastination. Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. One reason is because of the distractions. Many students usually postponing something that needs to be done and they always said, “I’ll do it later”, but end up distracted with other things. Example of this is, you have lots of assignments to do but you constantly postpone them for the next day and when this day comes, you physically can’t do all tasks , and that is the reason of your laziness. Students who always procrastinate receive lower grades and lower self-confidence.

The last possible reason is lack of motivation. lack of motivation is not the same as laziness. When someone is lazy, they don’t want to do work or do unpleasant tasks, even when they have the energy to do so. If you are not motivated, you will always find reasons to why you cannot get things done. Example of this is some students especially those that are stuck in dead end school works find all manner of reasons to explain their lack of performance. Such students never get things done and the more stuck they feel the lazier they become.

All of this is about the 3 possible reason why students become lazy. These are the lack of sleep, procrastination and lack of motivation. I think this is the reason of the students that why students become late, sleeping while the teacher is teaching, low grades and they not doing school works.

There are many reasons of being lazy in studying. We should find out the reasons and try to overcome them. If you are lazy, you will meet difficulty everywhere. And also, if a lazy person really want something absolutely he will never get it but a hard worker will get everything he wants. We all become successful person if we study hard and go on the right way.
