In today’s world the impact of nanotechnology in medicine offer some inspiring possibilities and bring some outstanding progress medicine like diagnosis, treatment and prevention from disease. To see the rapidly growing development the impact of nanotechnology in the medical applications will lead to the emergence of new field called nanomedicine.
The nanomedicine is used to diagnosis of diseases at nanoscale. The main goal of nanomedicine is to identify the disease in earliest stage. There are some techniques which are used and helpful to identify the tumors in body.
The nanomedicine can be used in many categories such as:
- Nanorobotic devices
- Nanodiagnostics
- Nano carriers for drugs
Nanorobotic Devices
Now a days, the nanorobots play a vital role in the field of medicine such as:
- Removal of kidney stones
- Treatment of cancer
- Elimination of defected parts in the DNA structure
And used for some other treatment that help to save human lives.
Nanorobots are used for the purpose of testing, diagonosis, monitoring of microorganisms and controlling cells and tissues in the human’s blood. Nanorobots have the ability to keep the record and report of pressure, sugar, temperature, and immune system’s parameters of different parts of body continuously.
Nano Diagonostics
There are many diagnostics techniques that based on nanotechnology.
For example Nanoflares are nanoparticles that are manufactued for bind and generate a light to target cancer cells , to determine or diagnose the accurate and precise method of detection of cancer cells throughout the whole body. Nanoflares is basically useful for the detection of cancer cells in the blood stream.
Further advances in nanodiagonostics involve the use of nanoparticles that will attach to cancer tumors and peptides that hold a high concentration of the biomarkers that indicate of the very early stages of cancer. By identifying cancer at these stages, even before appearance of noticeable symptoms would greatly increase the conclusion of cancer patients.
Nanocarriers for Drugs
The size, morphology, composition, biodegradability, size and surface functionality of polymeric nanocarriers can be designed for a number of many different applications such as imaging, sensing and therapeutics . As drug delivery systems, nanocarriers can be designed to release drugs controlled biodegradation of the polymer or activation of certain stimulus.
Nanodentistry
The impact of nanotechnology in dentistry like dentition renaturalization, local anesthesia, permanent cure of hypersensitivity.
In the current day the researchers have been observed that if a human being have any infection on his or her body then they take antibiotics for removing that infection. The antibiotic is very harmful for human being and making them to weak their cells. Therefore, researchers give the solution that making a nano antibiotic that will inject only on that part which is effected from infection rather go into the whole body.
