Their is surely a definite beauty in graffiti. With all the colors, styles, designs and big variety of different unique styling of letters. Even though, graffiti art is illegal and has been considered vandalism by law, some people consider it art because its a way people can express themselves and let their voices be heard.

Graffiti all started in the late 1960’s in philadelphia. Instead of graffiti being considered a meaningful expression, it’s considered vandalism. This is an unfair label to give to something that requires the same creativity and hard work as other forms of street art. Graffiti is a way people can express themselves and light up the cities with positivity in a public manner.

Graffiti brings the city/place life with amazing styles of letters and inspiring quotes with some fantastic art. Likewise inspiring art can make people feel less alone. Graffiti that embraces peoples sexuaility, race, lifestyle, background and beliefs can make a person walking by the art feel less alone. Graffiti is an outlet for many to express their feelings, which can inspire others.

Graffiti covers the walls of freeways, bridges and buildings, showcasing the talent of those who create the beautiful imagery. Graffiti is a form of expression, and artists should be free to make their thoughts and beliefs public. Making street art illegal limits the freedom of artists to create influential masterpieces. Graffiti artists create works that reflect both struggles and accomplishments and at many times display political and social messages. The paint that coats walls in communities everywhere can contain symbolism so profound that it has been compared to poetry. Many others are beginning to realize the influence graffiti has on the world, and famous street art will only continue to flourish.
