The concept of fear has its origin in the Latin term anxietas. It is the state of a person who experiences shock, anxiety, nervousness or worry. For medications, anxiety is the painful condition that can appear next to a neurosis or other form of illness that prevents the patient from relaxing and resting.

For example: ‘I am very worried about tonight’s recital’, ‘Try to control your fear that in this state of nervousness, things are not going well for you’, ‘A great fear of the semifinal. ‘

It should be noted that fear is not always a pathology, but a common emotion such as fear or happiness. In this sense, fear is necessary to survive certain risks because it makes the person alert.

When a person is in a state of fear, his perception increases because the body has to raise the level of some elements that are below normal in the situation.

The dopaminergic system is responsible for warning the body of what it needs by giving signals to the central nervous system. He does this when we are hungry, thirsty, or sleepy, and he urges us to look for ways to meet that need. Likewise, he is responsible for the release of adrenaline when we are confronted with situations that we face. It is a chain composed of: 1) yellow warning, 2) red warning and 3) goal goal; When the chain is broken, there is an atypical situation of anxiety or stress that can lead to the resolution of the danger or to failure. That is, when this innate ability of the individual becomes pathological, an anxiety disorder occurs.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), these conditions include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and phobias. To overcome anxiety disorders, professionals can offer anxiolytic solutions or offer psychological therapies.

Anxiety as a Disorder

The responses generated by fear in a person are: fleeing or fighting. In ancient times, these mechanisms had appeared when faced with the difficulties offered / shown by life in nature; Although these problems no longer exist today, new problems have emerged that generate stress and anxiety for people. The danger is sometimes real, but at other times, it is determined by the experiences previously experienced by each individual. The latter occurs, for example, in anxiety disorders. Anxiety acts as a defense mechanism, but if the response to it is detrimental to the individual, you have to dare to deal with it.

When the fear comes to cause paralysis in the actions of the individual being called phobia, it is a sudden reaction by which the subject loses control of the situation, situation in which the person tries to flee the conflict. Some phobias can be: acrophobia, claustrophobia or agarophobia.

A person suffering from phobia attends to the onset of the disease when confronted with this dreadful situation, which usually puts the subject off the hook (symptoms of anxiety and avoidance behavior). In obsessive-compulsive disorder, its onset is observed when the individual is struggling to impose for his obsessive impulses; In general, the reaction is also to flee conflicts (to harm oneself or to adopt a prejudicial attitude towards oneself or the environment). Another circumstance in which this much-dreaded reaction is presented concerns anxiety disorders due to separation, when the separation of paternal figures and the resulting instability have been experienced.

According to studies conducted by psychiatrists, some anxiety is good, it works positively together in the formation of the character, it allows to widen the knowledge and reinforce the creativity, because the experiences which have marked us allow us to have an idea of what we must protect ourselves and distinguish what can not harm us.

There are many ways to treat anxiety, some specialists tend to reduce this to fear of the future, the possibilities we do not know can occur, the ‘what if …?’ One way to solve it is to recode those thoughts that help the individual to live alone in the present. The fear exists because people live in the future and forget the present which is the only real thing and as soon as the patient comes back to life, the fear disappears.
