The depths of the human mind are in a enigma. People think differently, and sometimes that makes the human race stupid.
Often It Is believed bleach is bad, purely a ruthless, dangerous, killer, but what If bleach turned out to be a hero. Well that Is a reality, because bleach Is a hero in some ways.
Bleach Is safe to eliminate pathogens on surfaces like counter-tops, if it is used with caution, and bleach Is able to kill these pathogens because of a chemical known as hypochlorous acid, which has helped save lives.
Yes,that was read correctly, bleach has indeed saved lives and continues to, to this day as deadly pathogens spread. Deadly pathogens like Ebola,Marburg, and HIV.
Bleach has saved lives by killing very hazardous viruses like Ebola, and Marburg. Which without bleach, would have easily infected more people and spread beyond control. Which could have caused a worldwide outbreak of the viruses, but thanks to bleach that did not happen.Bleach completely destroys these pathogens, and protects more, and more innocents from their wicked symptoms, such as death.
“Ordinarily you would whip through a skull with an electric bone-saw, but you can’t use a bone saw in level four. It would throw a mist of bone particles and blood droplets into the air,
and you do not want to create any kind of infective mist In a hot area, even If you are wearing a spacesuit; it is just too dangerous.” Baca 2
This quote from “The Hot Zone” suggests just how dangerous these viruses really are. Imagine a virus that can barely be prevented by a biological hazard suit, being worn by highly trained professionals who handle these situations often with full understanding of what to do next. Now imagine, If those same viruses spread to a community that doesn’t understand how something like Ebola works, and spreads. It could easily be transmitted throughout the world.
But the title of this essay Is “Bleach:The Angel and Grim Reaper”, and It Is called that for a reason. Bleach is not only a savior, but a killer. It can completely erase pathogens and viruses, such as Ebola and Marburg.
Be realistic, not everyone uses bleach to kill Ebola. It has many different uses like, cleaning clothes, and sanitizing countertops. Here is an example, “Murphy stood up abruptly, feeling strange. The lab where he had prepared these samples – that lab was hot. The lab was as hot as hell. He went out of the microscope room, closing the door behind him, and hurried down a hallway to the laboratory where he had worked with the material.”
Throughout “The Hot Zone” (By Richard Preston) it is mentioned multiple times, and explained in detail about how rooms are cleansed with bleach. To rid them of any strains of the virus.
Bleach, saves and takes lives. We get it, but how? What gives bleach the strength it needs to fight such strong pathogens?
Bleach gets most of its power from an agent known as “hypochlorous acid”(also known as Hypochlorite), although it does not work alone. It works with other chemicals that enhance its strengths such as hydrogen peroxide, and germicides.
“Just like heat, Hypochlorite causes the proteins to clump together. Many of the proteins that hypochlorite attacks are essential for virus and bacterial growth, so In the long term these proteins are killed off and so are the viruses.”
Andrea Thompson(How bleach kills bacteria and viruses)
Pathogens are sneaky and require lots of maintenance to calm down and get rid of.
Bleach has not only saved lives, but killed pathogens and made the world a better place. Cleaning countertops, clothes, around the globe every minute.
Bleach is not a joke, and does not play any games. It has many uses and If so, why not use it for more than cleaning.Who knows, it might just save a life.
