Well not all students be conscious with the definition of this word because some of them are blessed with good luck that they never witness school or any type of bullying. A bullying is an action that done by a group of students to demonstrate their feelings. Now days ,It is a common phenomenon in Malaysia. Bullying is one of the main reasons for the massive school murders. Because this activity may lead to the fatal, dramatic consequences, a bullying is one of the most popular issue that discussed among the people. Bullying can occur in any situations where ever we are. Most of the time bullying takes place at school, college, university and even in workplace.

A person can disturb when physically, mentally or sexually be bullied.
There is also cyberbullying which is a common problem that faced by each and every person. A lot of people asking what is it ? Cyberbullying is a type of bullying via information and communications technology, that is, bullying through text messages, emails, phone calls internet chatrooms and social networking websites. A survey carried out on internet safety found that one-third of teenagers have had mean, embarrassing or threatening things said about them online. A majority of young people 81 percent think that online bullying is easier to handle than face-to-face bullying.

Only one-tenth of victims inform a parent or trusted adult of the abuse. We also can get to know that someone is being cyberbullied or not with recognize them some signs. Firstly, the victim may become withdrawn from family and friends. He or she may avoid using the computer or become nervous upon receiving a text message. Another sign is a change in behavior such as unexplained anger or depression, especially after going online.

Persistent bullying may have a number of effects on an individual, and in the environment where bullying occurs. Kids who are bullied can experience negative physical, school, and mental health issues. Kids who are bullied are more likely to experience depression and anxiety. Thus it will increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, changes in sleep and eating patterns, and loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy. Everlasting bullying induce the kid to lost interest in study and cause her to get low grades and make her or him to decrease academic achievement.

There is a strong link between bullying and suicide, as suggested by recent bullying-related suicides in the America and other countries.In recent years, a series of bullying-related suicides in the America and across the globe have drawn attention to the connection between bullying and suicide. Though too many adults still see bullying as “just part of being a kid,” it is a serious problem that leads to many negative effects for victims, including suicide. Many people may not realize that there is also a link between being a bully and committing suicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it. We can deduce that a bullied kid surely will commit suicide when they over stress and they do not have anyone to discuss about this matter.

We can prevent this bullying by encouraging the kids to speak to a trusted adult if they are bullied or see others being bullied. The adult can give comfort, support, and advice, even if they could not solve the problem directly. Encourage the child to report bullying if it happens. Parents and teachers should teach the kids about how to stand up to kids who bully. They also be obliged to give tips, like using humor and saying “stop” directly and confidently. They must talk about what to do if those actions do not work, like walking away by ignored them.They have to educate their kids about strategies for staying safe, such as staying near adults or groups of other kids.

As a conclusion, bullying is a dangerous action and can ruin lives. Bullies should stop so we able to survive in better environment, and they are many other effective activities to do then bullying others. Failure to snap out from bullying can lead to an unhappy, worrying and paranoid life ahead. Prevention is better than cure, bullies should realized and change before ending up in jail for their actions, and then regretting.
