The books of Proverbs Written to provide and question wisdom , moral behaviour, the meaning of human life, and right conduct. The sixty-sixth book of the bible names multiple individuals as the authors of its various sections. King Solomon, the son of David and Bathsheba, serve as the principal author. Solomon was the successor of his father King David. From, 1 Kings 4:29 “Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.”, it is observed he was a very wise and wealthy ruler. He wrote predominantly of the book, yet not with his own wisdom, but sometimes with the help of various sources/individuals and their enlightenment. The final two chapters identify their authors to be Agur (30:1) and Lemuel (31:1) . The two individuals are unknown and an enigma.
The book of Proverbs was written by Solomon, and other sources, to provide instructions for living an effective life on earth. For one who lacks discipline and greedly strays another mans wife will die due to their unwittingly folly. Chapter 6: From handling business deals the right way, to the trouble that goes along with procrastination, to the trouble with troublemaking, to the consequences of adultery.
Also serving as an warning from folly and once again adultery. Chapter 7: There is no heavenly home for these women or the men they trick unless they repent and turn from their wicked ways. Death and destruction await her and her victims. An in depth description of the plot and scandalous ways of the adulterous woman is also uncovered.
