Lakeview STI Specialty Clinic:
The Lakeview Specialty Clinic is a walk-in testing center on a first come, first serve basis. Located on 2861 Clark Street Chicago IL 60657 in a clean but not so modern building, they make up for comfort or style with friendliness, professionalism, and medical expertise and equipment. The clinic offers free STI testing for which a form of valid national identification and a social security number is needed to access services.
The initial test will look for Syphilis, Gonorrhea, HIV, and Chlamydia; and may take up to an hour or two depending on people density. The Lakeview Specialty Clinic opens at 8 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and 10 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After the paperwork, a short descriptive interview follows; after which depending on symptoms presenting, a physician may see you before the tests are carried out.

Brother’s Health Collective
Discretion, no records, and no wait results are some of the few privileges at the brother’s health collective. Also called BHC; they also offer confidentiality and same day testing and are situated on 2150 S Canalport Ave #5B1, Chicago IL 60608. The clinic; which also welcomes walk-ins, is part of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program and the Health Navigation Program for people with the Hepatitis C Virus.
They offer conventional and free HIV blood, oral and rapid testing as well as for other STDs. The Brother’s Health Collective’s clientele ranges from teenagers to gay African American men and especially at-risk individuals. You do not need an appointment at the former Howard Brown Health Center for a comprehensive and professionally confidential service. There are also centers in Lakeview, Boystown, Rogers Park, and Englewood.
Started as a response to the rising cases of STD’s among gay men, Howard Brown Health was named for Dr. Howard Brown and gained international renown for research in LGBT health issues. The center holds many medical acknowledgements and awards, while being known as the largest Midwestern health service provider for LGBT members and partners.
Their locality is uptown Chicago which has a high HIV prevalence level and for ages 12-24; they have a Broadway youth center located in Boystown. The primary clinic, however, is on 4025 N Sheridan Road, Chicago IL 60613 and is open for six days a week. From Monday to Thursday they begin at noon till 7 pm, while on Friday and Saturday; their services start at 9 am and end at 4 pm and 2 pm respectively.
The Clark Street Center is on 6500 N Clark Street, Chicago IL 60625 and operates five days a week. From Monday to Thursday; they open at noon and close at 7 pm, while on Friday they begin at 9 am until 4 pm. their 63rd Street Service Center is on 641 W 63rd St, Chicago, IL 60621; and is operational for five days a week as well.
From Monday up to Friday, the 63rd street clinic opens at 9 am except for Tuesday in which case they start at 10 pm. Their closing time is 5 pm except for Wednesday and Thursday which they extend to 7 pm. For the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, the center on 63rd street is accessible from 9 am up to 3 pm.
The centers are staffed with trained medics who offer professional services including; HIV tests; rapid and confirmatory. Syphilis, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea are screened together with symptomatic or asymptomatic Hepatitis A, B, and C. Other sexually transmitted infections tested are;
