2015 would forever be a memorable year for me. My dad had announced earlier that year that we would all spend our vacation together in France, although he was not certain. I was excited the day he confirmed it, and I had since then began my preparation. In the night of July 15, I had my belongings neatly arranged in my travelling bag because we would be flying for France the following day.
After a flight of five hours and some minutes, we arrived at Paris Charles de Gauche Airport in France. My father checked us into Celtic Hotel which was only a few kilometer away from the airport. The hotel lobby swept me off my feet with its design elements. The walls were painted in white, and some paintings hanging at every corner of the walls made it look like an art gallery. While my father was trying to get a room, I sighted one of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous paintings; Mona Lisa. Although I could tell it was not original, but its beauty still reflected.
The lightings in the lobby were breathtaking. There were light of different colours, but with blue dominating. The chandelier which was perfectly placed at the centre of the lobby was like tiny lightbulbs on a Christmas tree as it changes colour at intervals. The lobby also had free WiFi connection which I could not make use of as my father made us retire into our rooms. The walls in my room was painted brown at the base, and the rest was also white to the ceiling, the bed was neatly spread, and the floor was covered in a wooly material which made me take comfortable steps. I went to the balcony and watched the people swimming from above.

We decided to to take our dinner after we were refreshed. I changed into a new dress before heading to a restaurant nearby with my parents. The restaurant had a nice setting. We walked through the revolving door before being exposed to inside of the restaurant. The smell of food hit my nostrils and I began to salivate. I ordered for pizza. I had always wanted to taste pizza from a different country. My father settled for an African dish and so did my mother. I took the my first bite off the pizza and found out it was saucier, meatier and crustier than the one I take at home; I gave it a five star.
The Eiffel Tower is best seen at night. It has an amazing display of art. It has orange lightings which only comes alive at night. On our way to the tower, we made a stop at Pont des Arts. There, we could hear the clanging of locks. My mother brought out a love lock, and we attached it on the Pont des Arts before throwing the key of the lock into the river to signify unbreakable love. The air was different when we got to the top of the tower, it smelled like peace. The view was magnificent too; one could see all of Paris in one glance. We made a passerby take some photos us while we held hands before we decided we head back to the Hotel.
In conclusion, our vacation ended and we had to fly back home. I enjoyed my stay in France. I lodged in a beautiful hotel and also got to see the Mona Lisa painting even when it is not the original, I ate pizza which tasted a lot better than the one I take at home, my parents and I strengthened our bonds on Ponts des Arts by attaching to it the love lock, we got to see the beauty of the Eiffel Tower at night, we also had a wonderful view at the top of the tower, and we took some happy pictures together. My visit to france was the first, and it would be an unforgettable one.
