Homosexuality is being attracted to one’s own sex. It’s not completely known why someone might be lesbian, gay, straight, or bisexual. But research shows that sexual orientation is likely caused partly by biological factors that start before birth. Homosexuality in today’s society is seen as a choice, but it is actually a trait you develop when you are born. Studies have shown this to be real. “Evidence from independent research groups who studied twins shows that genetic factors explain about 25-30% of the differences between people in sexual orientation (heterosexual, gay, lesbian, and bisexual)”

.which includes heterosexuals, gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. Studies have shown that genetics play a big part in whether you are gay or not. The brain shows masculine and feminine traits of sexual characteristics. Males are more prone to be homosexual than woman stating being that they have more sexual hormones. Gender identity also plays a role in determining sexuality and testosterone. Testosterone is the male’s reproductive hormone. In fact scientists have found that it is a genetic disorder where you have another strand on the 8th chromosome. This mostly works with males rather than females because men are more sexual oriented than women. Homosexuals have been born with what many call the “Gay Gene”. Talking to someone who is homosexual, they stated “I have always been this way” she says. “There was always this feeling when I would have female friends I would find myself liking them at only the age of 7”. At a young age how can one know their true feelings?

Genetics is what you inherited from both sides of your parents. All living things contain dna and genetic material. Dealing with genetics, two of many gene variations have found to be most common in gay men than in gay women. Homosexuality is women lags behind; researchers say “this is partly because women tend to have more fluid in their sexual orientation”. In the year 1993, genetic information was found that on the X chromosome, “men were linked to whether they are [either] heterosexual or homosexual”.

In 1995 a region on chromosome 8 was identified to be real. “Homosexuality is not a disease, it’s part of natural human variation. I think we’ve reached the point that we have enough evidence that there’s a biological basis for sexual orientation,” Margaret McCarthy, a neuroscientist at the University of Maryland told The Scientist(https://australiascience.tv/science-of-sexuality/) Sex hormones in prenatal life can also play a role. congenital adrenal hyperplasia is the increase of male sex hormones in men and can cause sexual attraction to other men. Dean Hammer, whom of which is a geneticist, interview with 76 gay brothers and their family members. There was a discovery of a “shared genetic marker, a patch of DNA called Xq28”.

This means the saying of “being born gay is a choice” is not obviously true. Scientists have found where two identical twins are likely to have similar sexual orientation. “Being gay is not simply a choice or purely a decision” said the study’s lead author Dean Hamer, chief of the cancer institute’s Section on Gene Structure and Regulation. “People have no control over the genes they inherit and there is no way to change them”.

Dean Hamer find out that people who are gay, likely have a gay sibling or relative. But here’s the down side about it— now knowing there is a gay gene present, mothers are now worried that their child will “catch it”. To prevent this mothers are now considering abortion. The “gay gene” is not something you catch or one day you wake up and you have it, it’s something you have when your a baby & unaware of it. Homosexual men have higher chances of being gay due to a close relative or someone in their family being gay . People who are born gay are more likely prone to have a gay sibling just because genetics repeats itself. Epigenetics is the study of heritable changes in gene variation.

Do You Think You Can Go to Hell if You are Gay?

This pie chart is the results of students around Sophie B Wright who either thought homosexuals would go to hell for being gay or if they were not.

Homosexual desire is not what God originally intended. ”Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable Leviticus 18:2” This quote is from the bible which explains one shall not have sexual relationships with the same gender as thy. I am arguing against this because how can a child who at the age of birth though 7 years old know anything about liking someone of the same gender? From the book “Holy Homosexuals: The Truth About Being Gay or Lesbian and Christian” By Michael S Plazza, It states “Yes, you can be gay or lesbian and Christian! You can be the happy, healthy, and holy person God created you to be.”

So this states you can be gay and be a child of God and not fear “going to hell”. Most Homosexuals question themselves as to whether they are being sinful and being a disgrace to society because they are gay.

Someone who is anonymous posted on https://www.focusonthefamily.com/family-q-and-a/sexuality/homosexuality-and-salvation “Will being gay send me to hell? I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I desperately want to please Him and do His will. At the same time, I know that I am homosexual. I believe I was born this way and that nothing will ever change it. Does this mean that I’m condemned for eternity?” That is not case. “He who has the son has life”. Just because your Homosexual does not mean you will be sent to hell. “He who does not have the son of God do not have life” This statement is from the bible meaning if Jesus is not apart of your life, your life can no longer be. Everyone has sinned before in life so why should homosexuals be excluded and go to hell? If you repent and become saved, God will forgive you for those sins and to those sins can no longer be.

According to a student in my English class, she stated “you are born gay” “I have been knowing I was gay since I was at the age of 5” “I dried humped these two sisters when I was only six years old, which lead me to believe I was homosexual”. This student is now attracted to females and believe she is born gay. Is she wrong to have beliefs of being boy gay if that is what she experienced in her younger life? This student also has a homosexual brother who she says her mother knew something was wrong since the age of 2 years old.

This evidence means, she and her brother are related siblings which caused them to contain the same genetics. This is important because this means the gay gene is real and that it can affect people who already have a homosexual sibling in their family. Another student who of which reached out to me on social media stated he believed he has been gay since“[he] was young”. He would like it if his name remain anonymous. He opened up to me to tell his story about how his father put him out at the age of seven just because he announced he might be gay. “What lead [him] to believe this is when he was 6 years old he and a friend was playing video games and his friend lost the game. They both giggled loudly and he pushed his on to the bed to wrestle.

While they wrestled their penis touched and the two friend began to kiss. The friend pushed him off and said to him “you fucking gay get the fuck away”. He then began to cry and told his parents that he believed he was gay. His father disapproved and kicked him out. He now is 23 years old and has a boyfriend. They both attend church every sunday and ask God for forgiveness for being the way they are. Children who have the mindset of being homosexual are viewed differently; by parents and other children. Here are stories of men and women, who identified as gay or struggled with homosexuality, but who believed — or came to believe — homosexuality was not part of God’s design for human sexuality and relationships.

So, they began to move away from homosexuality and to steward their relationships and sexuality in a biblical manner.Things like what these two peoples said are sure to mean homosexuality is not a choice. Children who have tried to change and talk to someone of the opposite sex have said it didn’t feel right. Forcing someone to change their sexual attraction is something you can’t do. You can only talk to that person about it and only understand them.

People often get “being born gay” and being homosexual a choice confused .For intense if a child (male or female), where to get sexually abused by whomever, that would be considered a choice. Why because having sex with someone without their consent is called rape. If this person who sexually abused the child were the same sex as they are, it would be a 70/30% chance they would be gay. “ These men were born gay, not made gay, and their sexuality is a gift from God, not the result of sexual abuse”, according to michael brown who published an article in the stream. “What do Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, George Takei and Milo Yiannopoulos have in common?

They are all out and proud gay men, and they were all sexually abused as underage minors. Sadly, this is an extremely common occurrence, as there is frequently a connection between childhood sexual abuse and adult homosexuality”. Younger children who are introduced to sexual abuse are more prone to be homosexual,especially in men. “when the abuser is male (and even sometimes when she is female), many boys – whether straight or gay – develop fears and concerns about sexual orientation” said Richard B. Gather, Ph.D who wrote an article in psychology today “.

This means that when a child is raped they are scarred for life and confused about there sexualality. When talking to a person who wants to remain anonymous she stated “I was raped at the age of 12 when I was in the 4th grade I remember this day like it was yesterday. I am now 18 and every man that comes near me I am scared to trust, I am scared to love” “ I now despise men in every way and turned to women as a sexual partner”. This women who I have interviewed kindly opened up to me about something that was very personal in her life. This point is in this paragraph is to state that being rape can only be considered a choice.

Children who have grew up in a household with one parent present are more likely to become homosexual. “Infants and toddlers prefer their mothers to their fathers when they seek solace or relief from hunger, fear, sickness, or some other distress:

  1. Mothers tend to be more soothing;
  2. Mothers are more responsive to the distinctive cries of infants: they are better able than fathers, for example, to distinguish between their baby’s cry of hunger and cry of pain;
  3. They are also better than fathers at detecting their children’s emotions by looking at their faces, postures, and gestures. Not surprisingly, then,
  4. Children who were deprived of maternal care during extended periods in their early lives “lacked feeling, had superficial relationships, and exhibited hostile or antisocial tendencies” as they developed into adulthood. (Kobak 1999)”

Having no mother growing up affects children in the future as they get older because the role of a mother is needed in establishing the child’s ability to love, trust, and communicate. Fathers also play an important role. “Fathers excel when it comes to providing discipline and play and challenging their children to embrace life’s challenges; Fathers provide essential role models for boys; A father’s presence in the home protects a child from fear and strengthens a child’s ability to feel safe” .

Research indicates that children that performed poor academic, and social problems in early youth, and was raised in a fatherless household now have boy and trust issues. Men who grew up with only a mom are either a great husband and knows how to treat a woman right or they are homosexual. A story was once told to me by a friend of my dad name Daniel Craig. He is a homosexual male who has been this way since youth. “I was always gay” he says “liking someone that is the same sex as me was hard on my family”. As he is telling me this story he also tells me he has a uncle who is also homosexual. Genetics have played a big role in determining your sexuallity. Daniel have said he tried to change because he believes in God and not homosexuality.

Daniel is now 38 and dating a beautiful latino woman who he says knows he is homosexual but she tries to change him because she knows he is unhappy. He also states his mom knows about him being homosexual but she dont acknowledge it because she think she will go to hell for having a gay son. When Daniel was younger, his dad used to beat him because he used to play video games with friends. “My mom would sit there and watch while my dad would hurt me and hit me” he says “only because I was playing video games with a friend”.

Sexual orientation is about who you’re attracted to and want to have relationships with. Sexual orientations include gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, and asexual. Sexual Orientation is who not gender identity. Gender identity is who are identify as. Male, Female, and genderqueer.Queer is used to identify someone who has multiple genders. In the past, “queer” was a word used to hurt and insult people. Some people still find it offensive, particularly those who remember when that word was used in a painful way. Others now use the word with pride to identify themselves.

Being transgender is not the same as gender identity because when you are transgender who changes your identity. People who are attracted to the opposite sex consider themselves as straight or heterosexual. Males who are attracted to the same sex call themselves homosexual. Females who are attracted to the same sex call themselves lesibians. If you attracted to both sex for somehow, you will consider yourself as bi-sexual. People who don’t find themselves attracted to anyone often call themselves a-sexual.

Sexual orientation isn’t a choice and can’t be changed. People don’t decide who they’re attracted to, and therapy, treatment, or persuasion won’t change a person’s sexual orientation. You also can’t “turn” a person gay. For example, exposing a boy to toys traditionally made for girls, such as dolls, won’t cause him to be gay.
