He was born in 1564 in Stratford upon Avon to a middle-class merchant family he was the third of eight children. By the time Shakespeare had turned eighteen, he was married with a child on the way. William Shakespeare had become the most famous and influential writer in English literature. He wrote thirty-eight plays, one hundred fifty-four sonnets, and two epic poems that had redefined the English literature.
Shakespeare is known all the around the world let be for his comedic plays or the drastic romance. Everyone all over the world is required to learn about Shakespeare he inspires so many that they begin to write their own plays or poems. Some say Shakespeare had a friend who loved to write plays as well and that maybe Shakespeare stole some of his writings for himself.
Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564, and baptized on April 26, 1564, he was the third out of eight children born to John S. and Mary Arden. His father was a glove maker, grain dealer, served in various civic offices as a member of the town council, magistrate and as a bailiff, or mayor of Stratford. His mother was the daughter of a wealthy landowner. By the time Shakespeare had turned eighteen he had married his wife Anne Hathaway in 1582 and was having his first child of three.
Shakespeare began his education at Stratford Grammar School, which is still standing only a short distance from his house on Henley Street. Shakespeare was a Protestantism he was very familiar with its rites and ceremonies. Protestantism was only established as the national religion the year before Shakespeare was born.
It is estimated that Shakespeare came about in London during the time of 1588, at that time he began to develop himself as an actor and also as a playwright. Shakespeare began to get jealousy early on in his career, related by the critical attack of Robert Green, in 1592. ‘In 1594, not only were The Lord Chamberlain’s Men the most popular company at the time, they were the favorites of Queen Elizabeth, a patron of theatres and actors, who invited them every Christmas to act for her at the palace, (Shakespeare responded with Richard III, giving the Tudor ascension a more legitimate turn).
This great distinction was usually parceled out among companies, but for several years The Lord Chamberlain’s Men alone held the privilege. Shakespeare himself was able to sell octavo editions of his plays (sometimes called ‘penny copies’) to the literate in his audience. This also represents a first – never before had a playwright been so well-liked within his own time that his plays were sold like novels.’ (Denault, Leigh T. Shakespeare and the Early Modern English Theater. 2002.)
Shakespeare is considered the greatest writer and dramatist of all time. Some of his most famous writings are Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Henry IV, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, and more. He wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two narrative poems, and other poems. One of Shakespeare’s most famous poems is ‘All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players there, they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts his acts being seven ages.’
