Dear Sir/Madam,
Firstly, I would like to say thank you for your time and consideration of my study visa application. My name is Nhi Yen Nguyen. I write this letter in order to express my interested in obtaining a Study Permit in Canada with the intention of carrying out a Post-Secondary course called Tourism-Travel and Eco-Adventure at Confederation College which located in the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario; starting in September 2020.
Study Background
In 2014, I graduated in Phu Quoc High School that is the most well-known secondary school in Phu Quoc Island. During the time study there, I was honored to be selected for a seat in Honor class which is specialization in Math, Literature and English. I tried studying hard to maintain the good student status in that three-years period and also successfully pass the National Graduate exam.

Being an independent person who love to explore new places and new things, I decided to leave my family and become an international student in USA since 2015. Living on my own for more than three and a half years, dealing with many challenges without the help from my parents, I incredibly improved my knowledge about American history, culture, education but also had a growth mindset about myself and life.
In May 2018, after completed Associate of Science Degree at Lone Star College, I came back to my country and witnessed the unprecedented speed of change in my hometown, Phu Quoc Island. The untouched island is now becoming a global destination for getaway travelling. According to Tourism Market Report from QUO, the number of tourists coming to Phu Quoc only 25,000 back in 2000 and it jumped to over 1.5 million in 2015 and the Government hoped that number will reach 3 million in the next coming years. With the rapid tourism growth, I chose to study more about Hospitality – Tourism and was an excellent student in Front Office Management skill short-term course from December 2018 to January 2019 at A Au Vocational Guidance Corporation in Ho Chi Minh city. Realizing the diversity and complex of the hospitality-tourism industry, the demanding high-skill education and experiences of the employers, I understand that it is necessary for me to comprehend in-depth and higher education.
Reason to Continuing My Study and Choosing Canada
When I was studying English outside the country and helping my family’s business, I had the opportunity to meet many foreign people who are from all over the world such as US, Canada, Australia and Europe Countries. I was told how great and diversity education system in their countries. After spending time researching on the internets and collected my family’s recommendations, I decided to choose Canada to study since Canada is not only well-known as the world-class education country but also has a variety of intensive institutions which offer wide range of undergraduate, graduate degrees and professional programs. Moreover, Canada is a multicultural environment which gives many benefits of globalization and networking business opportunities for my further career. On account of those advantages, there is no reason for me to not choosing Canada to study.
Fortunately, I have been accepted by Confederation College with Tourism-Travel and Eco-Adventure program by meeting the language and academic requirements. The program lasts two semesters and begin in September 2020. The fundamental objective of completing this higher education program in this school will help me improving my professional profile, acquiring new experiences, skills and attitudes, even focusing them on a line of my future business. In facts, people are tending to invest into their personal growth that back-to-nature travel and vacation is also the way to invest in mental, physical and psychical health. As the consequences, the courses include a variety of object about people around the world, adventure expeditions, tours, cruises, air and oversea arrangements, business fundamental in tourism industry which will be absolutely a great contribution in needed in my hometown as well as worldwide.
Future Plan After Finishing Program
As I previous states, after completing two years Tourism-Travel and Eco-Adventure program in Canada, I truly confirm that I will come back to Vietnam in order to start and support my local development as a professional global Travel Specialist and specifically, in Phu Quoc Island which has only 221.6 mi2 area but it has an international airport, national park, a safari, theme park, golf courses, a casino, ton of luxury and famous hotel and resort groups as Intercontinental, J.W Marriott, etc. As a child of this island, I believe that studying in Canada will be the foundation for me to build my own business and be a part of my proudest town.
Particularly, it is important to mention that my spouse, Gennady Hernandez, is responsible for covering my tuition and fee during the period I study in Canada. In all sincerity, I really appreciate and hope that my application of international student visa will receive your consideration and acceptation. I enclose a letter of financial responsibility, bank statements and other documentation required for such support.
