I’ve always been a creative person who likes to explore and experience different things, I’ve always been into computers and IT since I was a child even though growing up I realized that the computer was just the tool with what I wanted to express myself.
Creating and experimenting have always been my motivations, in my school/college years I understood more and more what I was most fond of and that is being a designer/content creator more specific a graphic designer. Crafting flexible, efficient and e designs is satisfying for me, so I am keen to study design full time to further develop my capabilities and understanding to prepare me for a career in professional design.
Through my school/college years I was interested and I studied, art and design, filmmaking, photography, screen printing and graphics. All those years of studies refined more and more my skills and made me understand who I am as an artist, I have been working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe InDesign in my own time, through college assessment and projects over 3/4 years now, ranging on a different creation of posters, magazine covers, photo manipulation, 2D design, layouts and typography.
Having the fortune to have an architect father good in drawing and sketching, taught me different drawing techniques, I do not feel like an expert about it but I am rather confident.
Being able to draw has improved my skills and capabilities in story boarding and being able to create decent animations has improved my abilities at filmmaking, and all of those skills have also allowed me to expand my graphic design skillset in new ways.
I also have basic knowledge of Adobe Lightroom, after effect, premier pro and safety and security in IT. In the creative environment I look up to Barbara Kruger and Neville Brody.
My final goal is to become a logo-branding designer, the element that unites those creative is the futuristic mentality in their artworks, because both went beyond the “rules”, they went with what they were feeling, being also fond of typography and fashion, I always liked the way Barbara Kruger was able to create posters with phrases simple and straightforward to convey her message directly to the audience, in my opinion it was nothing extravagant, but that’s what I like about her working method, that the message is direct and understood immediately.
Being a designer, I always thought that I have to give a clear message that reflects what my client requires, what Neville Brody did was always a step ahead of everyone, I admire the language he used to change the English culture into a more artsy and vibrant aesthetic.
What I like the most about him that he studied two past artistic movements, dada and futurism and incorporate them into his artwork, which I look up for it too, as I said before I am inspired by these creatives person for their futuristic mentality.
Outside of my studies I read books about graphic design and typography, I am also into fashion mainly streetwear youth culture, I have been to a couple museums the Design museum and the Hallaghen art. Away from design in my spare time.
I have not yet done a job as a graphic designer, but I’m definitely ready to do have experience this summer
