In today’s world, a person may be an English citizen, or an Australian citizen or a French citizen. In whatever method this word is used, a citizen is a person who has precise duties and responsibilities along with having rights and advantages. What defines a citizen is a person of good habit and honest thinking. To have the right to be happy, you must be a righteous citizen and fulfill your nation. He or she should promote peace and harmony throughout their society. He or she should respect others’ faiths and beliefs as well as respecting them. He or she should be cooperative, friendly, selfless and humble as a good citizen is a person. To observe these traits, you must follow the rules.

Always obey parents, teachers, coaches, and others who have been given authority. Observe laws, honour and respect principles of democracy, and most importantly always respect your country and its national symbols. These traits are easy to follow, lots of people have become famous and made a good name for themselves in their community. Just by observing citizenship traits and following by them.

Every person on this earth is inherently good, but nobody’s perfect. Through the process of growing up brings them face to face with so much negativity from society. It can change them. Nevertheless, under everyone’s negativity, there’s still goodness in them… which can be as pure as the sound of music and as pristine as the raindrops outside. To find a good citizen and a good person, start observing only good qualities and good things in them. With this mindset, everyone can be a good citizen or a good person.

As I get older, society will be expecting more things from me in life. For example, doing my taxes, tying my tie, getting around places and more. Nonetheless, I am still 15 years old, and my time hasn’t come up yet. Strong citizens at my age are supposed to not only take care of themselves but also contribute to the prosperity of fellow citizens. Good citizens should also considerate the well-being of their local community. Which I believe I do.

As I got into my teenage years, I started to take care of myself more. For example, I cooked my meals on a daily basis because my parents thought it was a good first step. At the age of 12, I contributed to my community by joining Air Cadets to support youth development. Over the course of 4 years, I have done many things to support my community. For example, collecting donations for my local legion, cleaning up garbage at parks and participating at local events. Overall, I consider myself a good citizen and a good person at my current age.
