South Africa just an ordinary country you may think, Actually South Africa is so much more than an ordinary country it’s landform, religion, and region makes the country so unique.I’m going to take you way back to when it all started.1918 in South Africa a child was born that child changed the history of South Africa forever. Nelson mandela the inspiration man sentenced to 27 years in jail after learning he was a protester in the racial march. When he was released he became one of South Africa’s biggest leaders.
South Africa changed a lot since Nelson Mandela became a big leader in the country’s history. Education, housing land ownership, wealth distribution, racial problems and more hit rock hard in South Africa. But when nelson came along he changed the whole situation,Nelson became a successful protester and proved to the whites that we can all get along and make peace. After that he also became part of the “African National Congress” to tell speeches and give inspiration to the African Americans. To this day people in South Africa still give thanks to Nelson Mandela for what big accomplishment he had done for his home country.
In South Africa they have many different unique activities such as dancing, racing ,singing, stick fighting, football, cricket, netball, surfing and more. One activity that is really eye opening to me is singing, singing in America is very popular especially the different genres of music. But, in South Africa they mainly sing gospel music and in their language. It might sound a little funny to listen to their songs but it’s pretty popular.
South Africa is located in the west side of the Indiana Ocean. One big event in South Africa is the Safari where all the animals can just walk right up to you. Some of South Africa’s most popular animals are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hippos. You might be thinking “they let those vicious animals just roam around like that”. Actually the South Africans are very comfortable with it,they lived there for many years so there used to it.There are a lot of good and bad effects that can happen when it comes to animals roaming around.
In South Africa there’s a lot of unique things you can find around their country for example What kind of foods they eat, What’s their lifestyle, What’s their laws, How their school system work and more. The food in South Africa is completely different than food down here in america. There are some tiny things that might be the same like milk, meat or vegetables. But one thing that is completely different for us but normal for them is that traditional people drink the blood of a cattle. The South Africans think that the blood is warmer and better for the children and it makes the body stronger.
