“Harry Potter and the cursed child” is a theatrical play that is written by the play righter Jack Thorn, which was directed by John Tiffany. This is based on an original story by Harry potter author J, K, Rowling.

The theory of Aristotle that I will be choosing is tragedy which is going to be related to the theatrical play by Jack Thron. The few aspects of tragedy of Aristotle that is being explained are Plot, Character and the Thought.

The beginning of the plot begins with the readers knowing how Albus and Scorpius suffer a tragedy as they are under the shadows of their fathers. Harry potter is known as the chosen one and Dracco is known as the death eater. The incentive moment of this plot is when Albes who is Harry potter’s son and Scorpius who is Dracco son went back to time to try to save Cedric Diggory who got killed by Voldemort in front of Harry. Due to this action of trying to save Cedric made a huge mess in the timeline of history which caused an apocalypse. It is an irony that the boys thought that they will be able to save Cedric’s life with no causes. The fact that their alliance with Delphi to save Cedric resulted in the death of Craig Bowkers Jr who was one of his classmates.

The second aspect that will be explained is about the character. Albus and Scorpius became best friends as they both were suffering from the same situation of being in the shadows of their fathers and it connected them to each other. Albus was a rebellious soul whereas Scorpius was a sweet, geeky and a more of a person who would follow rather then being a leader. All the readers expect that Albus would be like Harry because he is the son of the chosen one but it was the complete opposite and as Harry would claim his own mess that he made but on the other hand, Albus failed to clean his own mess that he made which caused the death of an innocent classmate of his. It shows that Albus is a rebellious person like his father, however harry would have been still accepted being rebellious by the society because he had the same enemy like the society who was Voldemort, however Albus hated his father and society did not support Albus for this as they all loved harry as he had defeated Voldemort.

Thought that is the third aspect that relates to the aspect of tragedy of Aristotle. One of the themes that are going to be referred is the relationships that both the protagonist had with their fathers which is known as the father and son relationship , So when Albus goes off to Hogwarts and is accepted into Slytherin, he begins to feel that he is not living up to the name given to him by his father which causes their relationship to become cold and leading to conflicts between them which makes Albus confess that sometimes he wishes that he wasn’t the son of harry, whereas it was the opposite for Scorpius because he loved his father Draco as they had become closer after the death of his mother. He knows that his father was raising him in an environment filled with love which is did not receive as he was growing up.
