Achieving the American dream on the way that i see it is more and in having more opportunities like in having jobs and on education, something that you feel happy about. I think it is different for immigrants because because when they are not living the American dream they try their best to do something about it, to have it. After they have it they feel great, they feel happy because they have more opportunities on things they want to do, not like when they weren’t living the American dream. But at the same time something can go wrong and not live it. Mice and Men can relate to the American dream, for example when Curley’s wife said that her dream was to become a movie star and how George and Lennie wanted their own farm together.

For Curley’s wife they never sent her a letter “i never received that letter”. For George and Lennie everytime they tried to get out and accomplish their dream, Lennie always had to mess things up, like when he killed Curley’s wife. George had to make a decision and so he did, he killed Lennie because there was no way out of that mess and well he couldn’t live his dream. Also on how they were working on a ranch and don’t really get paid much but when they say they wanted to house their own they decided to keep working until they made enough of it.The Crucible can relate to the American dream, the puritan destroyed the down Salem, the witch trails means that it is a commitment to hard work that was a downfall for the american dream. For example too John wanted to keep everything a secret of his affair, the Crucible was all about having just one dream like for Abigail she wanted John and she was trying hard to try and keep him for her because he did not want anything to do with her anymore.

By what all of them were showing in the Crucible is that they all was trying to keep strong and make it on everything but at the end they just don’t win nothing.Sinners in the hands of an Angry God can relate to the American dream, it says that we are all sinners and don’t deserve to be saved from hell. To me on how i see it is that having the American dream is not fair because everyone should have the opportunity to live the American dream and some people do not let them live it like for immigrants.

People can be really rude to them even in places that are very important and it makes the immigrants just stop trying on living their dream. But in my point of view I would say that they shouldn’t stop no one should stop trying in reaching their goals because there is a lot of opportunities for everyone but it will take time to make it. The Great Gatsby can relate to the American Dream like on how George and Myrtle are both hard working people and really work hard on what they want and to accomplish. Also on how Gatsby is so in love with Daisy and how he is trying to win her heart but he doesn’t make his American dream. They stopped being together because Gatsby did not have a large amount of money to support her so she married Tom and he has a lot of money . Overall Gatsbys American dream was to be with Daisy but he just couldn’t be with her because she was married and she had a baby as well with her husband. The quote that i’m going to use is “and i hope she’ll be a fool, that’s the best thing a girl can be in the world, a beautiful little fool”.

The Constitution can relate to the American dream in so many ways because having all of that support such as the bill of rights you have their 100% support. The quote that i found was “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Each of the bill of rights to me is like the American dream because they are mostly about for everyone having the same rights. If they wanted this to happen then it needed to happen to everyone, no matter what it’s something for everyone in the world.

The Pursuit of Happiness can relate to the American dream also by the way that Chris was trying to get a good job to support his family. He achieves the American dream by working hard and using his talents, also of overcoming obstacles and that’s pretty much what the American dream is about in my point of view. In the film he is trying his hardest not to give up because he has his own little business and he tries to sell to doctors but it came to the point were doctors did not even need it so he never sold any. When he went on a interview he later then got the job and it became really difficult. But he shows faith that everything will be okay he tells his son “you got to trust me alright” and his son replies “i trust you”, because they know they are going to get passed it if they keep trying to have the best for their lives. After it keeps going wrong he still tries to make it all work out because he decides to go to a football game and talk to a guy and try to convince him about working with his company but he did not want to, but overall that did not stop him from trying with others and keeping up with his job.

The Declaration of Independence relates to the American dream because it says that it was made for everyone to feel free and have happiness. It was so that people can have the rights to elect officials to represent them, it allows them to contribute to society. The quote that i found was “all men are created equal that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among there are life,liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” mostly saying that it has its roots. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, the people have the right to alter or abolish it and to have new government. If anything goes wrong we don’t want it to affect our safety and happiness, we all want to be comfortable with every decision that is made for all of us. The Letter of Birmingham Jail can relate to the American dream in so many ways, the letter was defending and so it won’t have any violence to racism. He wanted them to have the rights too not just because they weren’t white they needed to be treated differently at all, his point that he was trying to make was to tell everyone that we are all the same no matter what and that we all need the equal rights.

The quote that i found was “Begun on the margins of the newspaper in which the statement appeared while I was in jail, the letter was continued on scraps of writing paper supplied by a friendly black trusty, and concluded on a pad my attorneys were eventually permitted to leave me”. That letter was responded to several criticisms made by the “a call of unity”. The point is that he never gave up no matter what even when he went to jail for that he didn’t give up until the right thing was done.

It all was meant to have freedom, happiness, success. People working hard and going through any obstacle.I do think the American Dream can be attained because you have to be able to be working hard and not giving up if you want to be successful, if you want to reach any goal that you have. I do believe in the American dream because there’s a lot of people out there in the world that came to it and they tell their story on how difficult it was for them but that they made it to their dream, there’s a lot of different stories that i have heard about. The American dream is not made up at all to me because it has happened for a while now which means that its like history something that can never be forgotten at all. I think by reading these text will give you a lot of information on any questions that you might have, and i think that everyone should have information about the American dream.
