Women protected the Whole nation from discrimination and gain equal rights for black Americans. Rosa Parks is one of the most famous activists of civil rights. She inspired many African Americans by her simple act that she did on a Montgomery, Alabama bus, December 1, 1955, that she refused to give up her seat to a white person and move to the back of the bus. She was a person who had concerned about equality and justice for all people in the United States. (“Norwood,”).
The Help, written by Kathryn Stockett, expresses how there was huge discrimination during her lifetime in the south of America. Black Americans were not allowed to use the same bathroom, school, and all public facilities. They were forbidden from living in the same areas and working at the same jobs. Some people treated them as animals and acted as if the people were diseased. Moreover, black peoples struggled with integration in public schools and discrimination in the workplace and with fewer job opportunities. They had worsted jobs in south societies. their women worked as a maid to white Americans. Mississippi was one of the very badly segregated societies during Rosa Park’s lifetime. She was the one who sacrificed and stands for equality and the rights of African Americans during that hard time.
She was born on February 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama in the black African American family. She stops her school when she was in 11th grade because she needed to take care of her sick grandmother and mother. She got married to Raymond Parks on December 18, 1932. her husband supports her to get a high school diploma in 1934 and completed her formal education. They both worked in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP’s) programs. She received more than forty-three honorary doctorate s and hundreds of certificates, awards from different countries and cities. She sacrifices a lot for the rights of black Americans, so she is the best symbol of civil rights, equality, and justice for all humanity (“Rosa Louise Parks Biography”).
She inspired many African Americans by her simple act that she did on December 1, 1955, and changed the whole nation’s lifestyle in the United States of America. Segregation was written into law, that black people should give their bus seats to the white people when they asked. A day Rosa Parks was headed home from her work by bus, so during riding on the bus, she refused to give up her bus seat to a white person, because she was tired of being treated poorly by white Americans. The bus driver called the police and then the police came and arrested her. After this event, the bus boycott began which was about not to ride the bus anymore. The boycott led by young man MLKJ and it continued until the law of segregation changed. Her sacrifice and arresting were the ends of segregation in the south of America. (“ Sanders”).
We should follow her way to reach the peaceful life. If we study her life and achievements that she got in her life, then we will learn that one person can change the whole nation. She knew the upcoming generations by the meaning of peace, equality, and justice. In my opinion, she not only fought for African Americans’ rights, she struggled and worked hard for all humanity. She taught everyone to be kind to every human in society. As a woman, she convinced the whole female gender to fight for their rights anytime and anywhere. (“Theoharis”)
I like to learn more about Mrs., Rosa Parks, but I will say very little about her service and sacrifice to the society in her lifetime. She was one of the most famous activists of civil rights. God created all the human same so no one can separate humanity. That was a big mistake of previous people that they treated each other differently. we should all learn from Rosa Parks that how we can live together by unity and with no hate and discrimination. We must continue to celebrate the struggle and achievements of her all the time. (“Ajay”).
We are all equal and we must have the same rights everywhere and every time. Segregation and discrimination can destroy our society so quickly. We have to teach our kids to treat everyone equally outside in school, workplace, and all public places. It is in our hand that how we make our environment and how we make a happy community. It is everyone’s responsibility to work hard for a better society. Rosa Parks learn the whole nation that how to make a strong community. She showed to the world that equality is the power of a country. (“Civil rights champion Rosa Parks dies”)
